Job Duties / Responsibilities • Install, wire, and test solar PV systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in residential and commercial settings, • Perform electrical work in compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety standards, • Install inverters, battery backup systems (such as Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, etc.), disconnects, junction boxes, and other components, • Wire and integrate battery storage systems with solar arrays and main electrical panels, • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and system layout plans, • Run and terminate conduit (EMT, PVC, flex) and wiring (AC/DC), • Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting for both solar and battery systems, • Ensure systems are properly grounded and meet all electrical and safety standards, • Work closely with solar installers and project managers to complete jobs efficiently, • Minimum 2 years of residential or commercial electrical experience (solar and battery storage experience preferred), • Familiarity with major battery systems (Tesla, Enphase, etc.) is a plus, • In-depth knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety best practices, • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and spec sheets, • Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with hybrid or off-grid systems, • Familiarity with standard electrical tools and multimeters, • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record, • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces, • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions, • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
