Job Summary:The Behavioral InterventionistOnboarding Specialist takes the lead in the onboarding processes of Behavioral Interventionist candidates in our Kansas locations, including Wichita, Topeka, Lawrence, Pittsburg, Leavenworth, and KCK. The positionassistsin new employee orientation and federal and state regulations andcompliance. Responsibilities:Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Hiring and Human Resources • Learn the tenets,processesandapprovedstrategiesof onboarding new BI staffat an expert level,following the requirements and policies of the agency, our contracts, and all stateand federalregulations., • Conducts work assignments with the utmost confidentiality., • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation andmaintainsI-9 files., • Conductsnew-employeebackground checks., • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices., • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, andnew technologiesin human resources, talent management, and employment law., • Assistswith employee file audits to ensure various legal and accreditation compliance standards., • Assistswith processing of terminations., • Assistswith recruitment and interview process as needed., • Assists the Assistant Program Administrator with various compliance requests and reports., • Makesphotocopies;mails,scansandemailsdocuments;and performs other clerical functions., • Files documents intoappropriate employeephysical as well as digitalfiles., • Some travel as needed in between branches., • Assistsinidentifyingand updating hiring process and background check requirements by state to ensure ongoing agency compliance., • Conductsbiweeklyorientation of BI staff., • Other duties as assigned.
