Position Summary Microvast (MVST) is seeking a dynamic, creative and strategic Global Marketing & Communications Director to oversee the strategic branding, marketing, market research and communications for Microvast. This role is critical to shaping and protecting the Company’s brand, driving stakeholder engagement, and ensuring consistent, compliant messaging across all regions. This role is ideal for communications rockstar ready for a global stage—whether you're stepping up from a regional role or stepping out of a bigger organization to gain more creative control in a fast-paced, channel-first company where comms really matters. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on executive who combines strategic vision with operational discipline. Key Responsibilities Global Leadership: Lead a small global team of marketing and communications professionals. Manage regional external partners (on an as needed basis) to ensure message consistency, local relevance, and world class execution. Brand Narrative Stewardship: Mature and evolve our brand platform, introducing new ways for employees, partners, and customers to connect with it across earned, owned, and shared channels. Media Relations: Shape and lead our global communication strategy. Build a trusted relationships with media outlets, respond with agility to real-time opportunities, and secured earned coverage that strengthens our brand. Analyst Relations & Third-Party Validation. Build credibility with leading non-financial analyst firms, testing labs, review sites, and award programs. Coordinate briefings and ensure company shows up strong in key industry reports. Social Media Strategy: Lead global social strategy with a focus on engagement, authenticity, and technical credibility. Drive growth across Linkedin, X/Twitter, Redditt, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Technology-Centric Messaging: Reflect our deep commitment to our technology products in all communications. Shape a narrative that highlights the value Microvast brings to the market and differentiates us in the eyes of media, analysts, and the broader market. Executive & Internal Communications: Partner with our CEO, President, and CFO and other executive team to prepare media opportunities, major presentations, and internal campaigns. Align employees around our mission and values through clear, consistent internal messaging. Crisis & Incident Communications: Lead strategic communications during critical moments – from security incidents to reputational risks – ensuring clarity, control, and brand protection across all channels. Brand Partnerships: Manage company’s global brand partnerships and activate them through creative storytelling, community engagement, and integrated campaigns. Team Leadership: build, inspire, mentor, and scale your team. Foster a high performing culture of excellence, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. Governance & Compliance Ensure all external messaging aligns with SEC disclosure requirements, corporate governance standards, and public company best practices. Oversee review processes for communications materials to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience • Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position at a publicly traded company., • Minimum 3+ years leading global AR, PR, and social media strategy., • Minimum 3+ years in automotive and battery companies., • Proven track record of building and executing global campaigns in complex, matrixed organizations., • Experience with investor, media, and crisis communications in a regulated, public company environment., • Strong editorial eye and storytelling instincts, especially when translating technical topics into accessible narratives, • Demonstrated success growing brand visibility and managing executive communications., • Ability to operate with agility and confidence during crisis situations., • Proven experience working with global analyst firms, testing bodies, and award programs., • Strong collaboration skills and executive presence., • Proficiency in tools such as Meltwater, Sprout Social, Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics, and other relevant platforms. Preferred Skills • Exceptional leadership, storytelling, and strategic planning skills., • Strong understanding of SEC disclosure rules, public company communications practices, and governance requirements., • Proven ability to manage global teams and external agencies across multiple time zones., • Advanced communication skills—verbal, written, and visual—with executive presence., • Success Factors, • Ability to translate complex business and financial information into clear, engaging messages., • Comfort operating in fast-moving, high-stakes environments typical of publicly traded companies., • Skilled at influencing stakeholders across executive leadership, board of directors, investors, media, and employees.
