Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler Job Description The Assembler provides hands-on production support within the Assembly Department, manufacturing components that meet customer specifications and internal procedures. This role focuses on operating a variety of machines and hand tools, following detailed instructions and documentation, and delivering premium-quality parts on time. The position emphasizes strong internal and external customer service, consistent attention to detail, and active participation in continuous improvement and lean initiatives. Responsibilities • Operate production machines as directed by supervisors or leads to produce parts according to specifications, including tasks such as riveting and mechanical assembly., • Use hand and power tools, including drills, table saws, rivet guns, impact guns, and similar equipment, safely and effectively., • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and shop orders to ensure correct assembly and part configuration., • Perform frequent, repetitive tasks with consistent quality and attention to detail throughout the workday., • Perform labor-intensive tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and moving for extended periods during the shift., • Obtain first article approval from a qualified employee, lead, supervisor, or inspector before proceeding with production., • Check parts regularly for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed., • Ensure and record accurate part counts and maintain efficient production times to meet output goals., • Maintain proper documentation for all assignments in coordination with Quality Assurance, including production records and quality checks., • Accurately record work time, including clock-in and clock-out, and ensure all work is documented correctly., • Prepare parts properly for handoff to the next process, ensuring they are organized, labeled, and ready for subsequent operations., • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with supervisors, leads, and co-workers regarding status, issues, and needs., • Notify the lead of any material shortages, equipment malfunctions, or mechanical issues that may affect production., • Work overtime when needed to support production schedules and customer demands., • Maintain and follow ISO 9001 responsibilities in accordance with the Quality Manual and procedure-level documentation., • Participate actively and positively in Lean activities, including process improvements and waste reduction initiatives., • Assist other team members as required to ensure team success and efficient workflow across departments., • Perform daily maintenance on assigned equipment and workstations as needed to ensure safe and reliable operation., • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris to support safety, efficiency, and quality standards., • Demonstrate teamwork by helping others succeed, communicating clearly and directly, listening well, encouraging teammates, and engaging in blameless problem solving., • Exhibit honesty and integrity by honoring commitments, doing the right thing, all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals., • Ability to understand and follow detailed verbal instructions in a production environment., • Ability to read and understand shop orders, policies, procedures, and related documentation., • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent quality and accuracy., • Ability to operate machinery in various departments as assigned., • Manual dexterity to handle small parts, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently., • Ability to operate hand and power tools such as drills, table saws, rivet guns, and impact guns., • Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions., • Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including regular lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level, climbing, driving short distances within the facility, and pushing/pulling as required., • Normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids) sufficient to perform job duties safely and accurately., • Willingness to work overtime when needed to support production demands., • Commitment to following ISO 9001 quality requirements and maintaining accurate documentation., • Strong communication skills to interact clearly and directly with supervisors, leads, and co-workers., • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration, problem solving, and supporting others.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma plus relevant vocational training, such as sheet metal work, is beneficial., • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred., • Ability to perform basic equipment setups in a variety of departments., • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret dimensional requirements., • Ability to use precision measuring equipment to verify part dimensions and quality., • Ability to create spreadsheets and graphs using Excel or equivalent software., • Ability to create, organize, and file work documents accurately., • Additional math skills related to algebra, geometry, and/or trigonometry., • Willingness and ability to Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
