Job Description Position Overview The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations of high-rise residential buildings throughout New York City. This role is focused on field and operational support rather than purely administrative work. The Assistant Property Manager plays a hands-on role in building inspections, staff oversight, regulatory compliance, vendor coordination, and financial processing to ensure properties operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with city requirements. Key Responsibilities • Conduct regular building and unit inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are met., • Support oversight of on-site staff, including porters, supers, and other building personnel., • Assist with Department of Buildings compliance, inspections, and documentation., • Coordinate and manage vendor relationships, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and issue resolution., • Review vendor proposals and assist with bid comparisons and recommendations., • Process and track invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals., • Support compliance with Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) requirements and documentation., • Respond to building issues, emergencies, and resident concerns as needed., • Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and turnover coordination., • Prior experience working with high-rise residential buildings., • Experience with Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) regulations and processes., • Knowledge of NYC Department of Buildings requirements and compliance., • Experience coordinating vendors and reviewing proposals., • Strong organizational and multitasking skills., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work in the field and in an office environment as needed., • Proficiency with basic office software and property management systems., • Experience managing within a 32BJ Union environment., • History of Partnering with Realty Advisor Board (RAB)., • 401(k), • Dental insurance, • Health insurance, • Life insurance, • Paid time off, • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Do you have experience with Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) regulations?, • Do you have knowledge of NYC Department of Buildings requirements?
