Position Summary The Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for an assigned Area, ensuring seamless integration across Branch functions. This role oversees shared services, manages high-level client relationships, drives profitability, and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality security services. The Director of Operations also plays a key role in client start-ups, service transitions, and retention initiatives, while coaching and developing field managers and supervisors. This position carries full operational and profit & loss accountability for a designated portfolio of business, including direct oversight of approximately 2,000 weekly service hours (HPW). Key Responsibilities Client & Service Delivery • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive-level client representatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals., • Ensure delivery of high-quality customer service; provide regular updates to the Area Vice President., • Meet with client representatives to review performance, resolve concerns, and address operational needs., • Oversee client start-ups, contract negotiations, post orders, and security assessments., • Manage shared services across multiple Branches (payroll, HR, accounts receivable, and related functions)., • Provide direct support to District Managers (DMs) through guidance, auditing, billing, and operational oversight., • Manage chargebacks, auditing processes, and revenue recovery efforts to safeguard profitability., • Resolve operational issues and ensure alignment with Area strategy and leadership., • Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs and service quality metrics; drive corrective action as needed., • Oversee compliance with fleet (vehicle) programs and, where applicable, weapons accountability., • Maintain full profit and loss accountability for assigned portfolio., • Analyze financial and operational data to drive efficiencies and profitability., • Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with the Area Vice President., • Authorize and control expenditures for equipment, supplies, vehicles, and uniforms., • Recruit, train, coach, and develop high-performing managers and supervisors., • Provide guidance on scheduling, staffing, payroll, and cost management., • Create a professional, inclusive, and compliant work environment., • Collaborate with Area and Regional leadership on key initiatives, legal issues, and HR matters., • Participate in quarterly business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and corporate initiatives., • Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 annually, • Car Allowance: $1,000 per month, • Travel: Approximately 30%, • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Life Insurance, • 401(k) Retirement Plan Education & Experience • Associate’s degree and 4+ years of management experience in security, operations, or business management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Previous security industry experience strongly preferred., • Proven track record in P&L oversight, auditing, billing, and financial accountability.
