The Role We are seeking an Order Processing Specialist to support the full lifecycle of retail purchase orders and EDI transactions from PO receipt confirmation billing. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and smooth communication between Sales, Logistics, Accounting, and Retail customers. What Youll Own Order & EDI Processing Process and validate incoming purchase orders Manage EDI order transmissions & confirmations Resolve pricing, item, and quantity discrepancies Billing & Documentation Generate accurate invoices & attach required backup Maintain organized billing records for audit & compliance Troubleshoot billing or EDI chargeback issues as needed Item & Data Management Create new SKUs and update product item data in ERP Maintain clean data for pricing, UPCs, pack sizes, dimensions, etc. Reporting & Support Run open order reports and sales/ops reports for internal teams Provide updates to Sales on fulfillment and delivery status Communicate with customers regarding order-related questions Why This Role Matters Your work directly impacts: On-time delivery Retail compliance Revenue recognition Chargeback prevention Customer satisfaction For a company that sells into major retailers, this function is mission critical. Requirements Must Have: Experience with EDI order processing Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Ability to manage multiple tasks independently Comfortable navigating ERP/operational systems Proficient in Microsoft Excel Clear written & verbal communication skills Nice to Have (Not Required): Experience in consumer products or retail operations Experience billing large retailers (Walmart, Target, etc.) Chargeback prevention or compliance exposure Report-building experience (Excel / ERP / BI Tools) Growth Path Top performers can grow into: Sales Operations Lead Logistics / Supply Chain Coordination Key Account Support Inventory & Demand Planning We promote internally and value people who take initiative and improve processes.
