Job DescriptionJob Title: Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler supports all aspects of warehouse operations on a full-time, first-shift schedule. This role focuses on accurately picking, moving, and organizing materials, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and mail between buildings. The position is ideal for a punctual, communicative, diligent, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a team-oriented warehouse environment. Responsibilities • Lift and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more on a regular basis., • Fulfill production orders from the main warehouse location accurately and efficiently., • Pick and deliver parts requests to designated areas within the facility., • Identify and label materials correctly and record proper warehouse locations to maintain accurate inventory levels., • Replenish primary stock locations to ensure materials are available for production and operations., • Perform and report inventory cycle counts to support accurate stock control., • Complete daily mail runs between buildings in a timely and organized manner., • Conduct light housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks to keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized., • Prepare and crate finished assembled products for shipment or storage as needed., • Use material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, to move and stage materials safely., • Use RF scanners and basic computer systems to support order picking and inventory tracking, as required., • Climb rolling ladders up to 14 feet to access and retrieve materials stored at height., • Follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines at all times., • Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to coordinate daily tasks and priorities.Essential Skills, • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and handle physical work throughout the shift., • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time during the workday., • Ability to squat, bend, kneel, reach overhead, and reach forward as part of daily tasks., • Experience operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, is strongly preferred., • Experience working in a warehouse or material handling environment., • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills., • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities., • Basic computer skills, including email and typing, to support simple system entries., • Comfort climbing a rolling ladder up to 14 feet to pick or store materials., • Self-motivated, energetic, and agile approach to work, with the ability to stay productive with minimal supervision., • Ability to pick orders by hand accurately without heavy reliance on MRP systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with a Warehouse Management System is helpful., • Oracle system knowledge is a plus., • Familiarity with SAP, SAP ERP, or SAP systems is beneficial., • Experience using RF scanners for picking and inventory is an asset., • Background in material handling, order pulling, picking, packing, and pallet jack operation., • Experience in an electronic manufacturing or warehouse environment is advantageous., • Comfort working in a climate-controlled warehouse setting., • Open to a temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term employment.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled electronic manufacturing warehouse, providing a clean and consistent indoor work setting. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on first shift, with the expectation of full-time hours. Work is primarily hands-on and physical, involving frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, extended periods of standing and walking, and regular squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching. The position requires climbing a rolling ladder up to 14 feet to access materials stored at height. Most tasks focus on manual order picking, material handling, and movement of parts using equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners, with minimal computer and no heavy MRP system use. The warehouse operates in an electronic manufacturing context and emphasizes safety, organization, and light housekeeping to maintain an orderly, professional environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
