Job DescriptionSalary: Negotiable Senior Product Manager Platform & Configuration Tools Location: Hybrid - Dallas/Fort Worth area Summary SafetyChain Software is seeking a Senior Product Manager Platform & Configuration Tools to drive product execution and deliver customer-ready solutions that power configuration, data modeling, form building, and core platform capabilities across the SafetyChain application suite. This role is critical to delivering the next generation of system configurability, ensuring our customers can model their operations, manage data structures, and build workflows with clarity, accuracy, and ease. The ideal candidate has experience in B2B SaaS product delivery and is comfortable with technical concepts such as data models, schemas, dynamic forms, metadata, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities. They excel in cross-functional collaboration, communicate clearly, and are energized by solving complex configuration and data challenges for customers. What You'll Do: Execution & Delivery • Deliver against the roadmap for configuration tooling, data modeling, form building, and platform-level capabilitiesincluding opportunities to incorporate AI-driven assistance where appropriate., • Translate strategic direction into actionable user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications., • Partner closely with Engineering during grooming, sprint planning, and daily execution., • Provide ongoing requirement clarification and rapid decision support to keep development unblocked., • Work with QA to validate functionality, schema behavior, AI-supported flows (when applicable), and data accuracy before release., • Coordinate feature rollout and release readiness across CS, Support, Implementation, and Enablement. Requirements & Definition • Write clear workflows and functional requirements for:, • Data model and schema management tools, • Form builders and configurable field controls, • Metadata management, templates, and reusable components, • Permission-driven platform behaviors, • Analytics, KPIs, and data pipeline interactions, • AI-assisted configuration, suggestions, or data interpretation, • Ensure requirements align with SafetyChains shared data model, platform standards, and architecture direction., • Support UX with wireframes and interaction logic, including areas where AI might streamline configuration or reduce cognitive load., • Identify integration points with other areas of the platform to ensure consistency and alignment across AI and non-AI experiences. Customer & Domain Understanding • Develop working knowledge of structured data, object relationships, and schema-based configuration., • Participate in customer interviews to understand configuration challenges, admin workflows, and opportunities where AI could enhance efficiency or reduce friction., • Translate real customer problems into intuitive, scalable configuration experiencesboth manual and AI-assisted., • Incorporate feedback from administrators, power users, and implementation teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Collaborate daily with:, • Engineering technical requirements, data structures, and opportunities for AI-assisted logic or automation, • UX builder interfaces, admin workflows, schema editing, and AI-supported interactions, • QA validation of data integrity, configuration logic, and AI-driven suggestions or behaviors, • Support field issues, troubleshooting patterns, AI-related confusion/feedback if applicable, • Customer Success & Implementation real-world usage of configuration tools and AI-enabled helpers, • Communicate release timing, scope, and changes to internal stakeholders. Quality, Stability & Iteration • Monitor platform features post-release for usability, performance, and configuration reliability., • Triage defects, clarify edge cases, and support Engineering in determining priorities., • Drive consistency in data model handling, validations, form behavior, configuration logic, and AI-enabled interactions., • Support continuous improvement of platform components through usage insights and customer feedback. Key Responsibilities • Execute the delivery of platform configuration, data modeling, form builder, and optional AI-driven roadmap initiatives., • Break strategy-defined priorities into clear, development-ready user stories., • Own backlog organization, grooming, and functional readiness for platform features., • Validate that delivered functionality meets acceptance criteria and business intent., • Ensure data model behavior, field logic, and builder tools follow platform standards and expected interactions., • Support cross-functional readiness and internal enablement before customer rollout., • Maintain a deep understanding of system behaviorincluding AI-supported pathwaysto support troubleshooting and continued improvement., • Partner with Support and CS to understand customer issues and drive iterative enhancements. What Youll Need (Requirements) Required • 5+ years in Product Management, Engineering, or technical SaaS roles with execution responsibility., • Direct experience delivering technical SaaS features involving data models, configuration tools, form builders, or admin/metadata interfaces., • Strong ability to write clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and interaction logic for complex systems., • Experience working closely with Engineering and QA in Agile/Scrum environments., • Strong organization, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills., • Comfortable with technical concepts such as schemas, data relationships, metadata, and system behavior., • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail., • Authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred (Nice to Have) • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms, admin consoles, workflow builders, developer tools, or schema-driven systems., • Familiarity withAI-enabled product experiences, such as AI-assisted configuration, recommendations, natural language-driven actions, or generative interface helpers., • Exposure to analytics tools, BI systems, semantic/KPI modeling, or AI-enhanced insights., • Ability to read JSON schemas, SQL, or API documentation., • Previous experience in configuration-heavy or platform-centric enterprise software.
