About the Team: The Technical Compliance team is a vital part of our organization, ensuring that every product we design, build, and deliver meets strict regulatory and technical standards. This team serves as the bridge between innovation and regulation safeguarding market access by ensuring product integrity, accuracy, and compliance with jurisdictional requirements. In this highly detailed and fast-moving environment, team members rely on precision, analytical thinking, and a strong sense of accountability. Each person plays a critical role in reviewing, certifying, and maintaining product compliance, ensuring that the company not only meets but anticipates regulatory expectations. A commitment to thorough documentation, proactive problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration is essential to the team’s success. The Technical Compliance team partners closely with Product Development, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory bodies. By managing submissions, monitoring certifications, and supporting technical evaluations, the team enables timely product launches and sustains market presence. Through expertise, consistency, and a forward-looking approach, this team helps protect the company’s reputation while driving operational efficiency and growth. Position Summary: The Senior Manager of Technical Compliance plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that all slot machine products and associated technologies meet applicable regulatory and jurisdictional requirements. As the primary technical liaison between product development, testing labs, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders, this individual will oversee the submission, certification, and ongoing compliance of gaming products throughout their lifecycle. The role requires deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, strong project management skills, and the ability to interpret and apply complex technical standards. This position will directly supervise the Technical Analysts and report to the Director of Compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Regulatory Compliance Management:, • Ensure all gaming devices, systems, and software are compliant with applicable jurisdictional regulations and technical standards., • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and third-party test labs (e.g., GLI, BMM)., • Maintain a deep understanding of domestic and international gaming regulations impacting technical compliance., • Technical Submissions & Certifications:, • Oversee the preparation and submission of technical packages for regulatory approval and certification., • Coordinate lab submissions and manage project timelines to meet go-to-market deadlines., • Track certification statuses and renewals across multiple jurisdictions., • Cross-Functional Collaboration:, • Partner closely with Engineering, QA, Product Management, and Legal to ensure compliance is integrated throughout product development., • Review and advise on product changes, updates, and enhancements from a compliance perspective., • Audit Readiness & Documentation:, • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for regulatory submissions, product configurations, and compliance decisions., • Lead internal audits and assist in responding to external regulatory audits., • Team Leadership & Development:, • Supervise and mentor one direct report, providing guidance on technical submissions, jurisdictional research, and compliance procedures., • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the compliance function., • Continuous Improvement:, • Monitor regulatory trends and proactively identify impacts to current and future product lines., • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field., • Minimum of 7 years of experience in gaming compliance, regulatory affairs, or technical compliance—preferably within a gaming or slot machine manufacturing environment., • Proven experience managing technical product certifications and regulatory submissions., • Strong understanding of jurisdictional differences in gaming regulations (U.S. tribal, commercial, and international markets)., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience interfacing with regulators and test labs., • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities., • Familiarity with systems like GLI-11, GLI-12, GLI-21, or other gaming-related technical standards., • Experience using compliance management tools or regulatory tracking systems. Employment Classification To determine eligibility for benefits and overtime status and to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, Bluberi uses the following classifications. Employment classifications are based on the guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and, as circumstances dictate, Bluberi may review or change employment classifications at any time. Exempt: Exempt Team members are paid on a salary basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay. Non-exempt: Non-exempt Team members are paid on an hourly basis and are eligible to receive overtime pay for overtime hours worked. Regular, full time: Team members who are not in a temporary status and work a minimum of 30 hours weekly and maintain continuous employment status. These Team members are eligible for the full-time benefits package and are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of each benefits program.
