Job DescriptionJob Title: TIG WelderJob Description A TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welder uses precise electrical arcs and non-consumable tungsten electrodes to join complex or thin metals like stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel alloys. Responsibilities • Operate Equipment: Set up and run TIG welding machinery, gas regulators, and power sources safely., • Read Blueprints: Interpret technical schematics, engineering drawings, and welding symbols for precise assembly., • Prepare Materials: Clean, cut, grind, and fit metal pieces together before welding., • Inspect Welds: Check finished pieces visually or with measuring tools to ensure they are free of cracks and defects., • Maintain Safety: Follow strict shop safety guidelines and wear proper protective gear.Essential Skills, • Strong hand-eye coordination, • Fine manual dexterity, • Attention to detail, • Proficiency in TIG welding, stainless steel fabrication, and blueprint readingAdditional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or GED, • Completion of a technical welding program or apprenticeship, • AWS (American Welding Society) or other specialized certifications preferred, • Own welding gearWhy Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deer Park, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
