We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in: Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach almost 80,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. BJI is seeking a Clinical Manager for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP). Reporting to the Director of Practice, Programming and Partnerships, the Clinical Manager will oversee SRP Clinicians who provide intake, assessment, evidence-based group and individual programming to address participant needs and court mandates, and crisis support to participants in need. This position leverages clinical, supervisory, and program management experience to support the SRP Clinicians in the execution of their responsibilities. Specifically, the Clinical Manager will provide SRP Clinicians with supervision and case conferencing in both one-on-one and group formats to ensure program offerings and clinical interventions are carried out thoroughly, ethically, and in alignment with the program model and organizational values. The Felony ATI Court, which is led by Administrative Judge Ellen Biben, seeks to forge a new response to individuals charged with felonies by linking them to community-based social services. The Court is the first of its kind, providing an innovative model for other jurisdictions seeking to develop and implement meaningful post-conviction sentencing options for individuals facing felony charges. Reporting to the Clinical Director of Felony ATI, the Social Worker will be part of a team that provides neutral, third-party assessments and case management services to the Felony Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) Court. The Social Worker will be responsible for conducting independent clinical assessments, providing referrals to community-based services, offering comprehensive clinical case management, and monitoring participant compliance. An essential and dynamic feature of the Social Worker’s role will be close collaboration with key stakeholders. The Social Worker will work regularly with the judge and court staff from New York Country Supreme Court who oversee the Felony ATI Court, as well as with other stakeholders, including the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and New York City defense organizations. Job Description Director of Programs About This Opportunity The Director of Programs will be responsible for developing, leading, and overseeing all education and public programs for Queens Botanical Garden. The Garden has broken ground on a new $32 million Education Center, with an approximate completion date of Spring 2028. Operating out of Kings County Criminal Court and community-based offices, BJI is a team of social service providers, court-based resource coordinators, mental health practitioners, compliance specialists, and others who seek to improve the quality of justice. Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail by providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and in doing so, uses an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life, avoiding the harmful effects of incarceration. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates and mandatory programming, and receive referrals to services like job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling. BJI seeks Night Clinical Intake Specialists for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP). Reporting to the Night Clinical Intake Coordinator, Clinical Intake Specialists will leverage social work or mental health training and direct practice experience to facilitate participants’ successful transition into SRP. Clinical Intake Specialists will conduct a comprehensive needs assessment; connect participants with an appropriate case manager, focusing on participant needs and individual case manager skills and strengths; generate mandatory programming recommendations, and refer candidates to services with community-based service providers. Additionally, this position will provide de-escalation and emergency intervention within the courthouse, as needed. Night Clinical Intake Specialists are responsible for effective cross-team communication and collaboration to prioritize comprehensive and aligned service delivery; proactively identifying successes, challenges, and opportunities to strengthen programming; create opportunities for meaningful collaboration, and maximize the use of internal and external resources and expertise. Position Overview The Housing Mobile Team Peer Specialist is an integral part of Community Access’ mobile multi-disciplinary team that supports tenants with complex mental health needs across our supportive housing programs in NYC. The Peer Specialist uses their lived experience with the mental health system to engage and support program participants who are experiencing mental health crises that are impacting their ability to maintain their housing in the community. Using a peer support, person-centered model the Peer Specialist supports individuals in developing new coping strategies, assessing risk, maintaining their housing, accessing community-based treatment and support services, connecting to community, family and social support networks and providing hope and connection. Recovery experience related to substance use services along with mental health preferred. The Peer Specialist engages and builds trusting relationships with program participants and their networks to support the person’s recovery.
