Job Description THE ORGANIZATION The Center for Justice Innovation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community safety and racial justice. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for execution of payroll for all Center staff. This position works closely with HR, Fiscal, and department leadership to ensure accurate, compliant, and strategic payroll administration. We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter, who enjoys working both independently and within a team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll for 900+ salaried & hourly employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; * Review and analyze staff timecards each period, proactively identifying discrepancies and collaborating with managers to implement necessary adjustments; * Verify and manage direct deposit and payroll setup for new hires, ensuring seamless onboarding and compliance with regulatory requirements; * Manage employee changes in Paycom, including garnishments, child support orders, and tax setup, exercising independent judgment to resolve complex scenarios; * Investigate and resolve employee pay issues with discretion, professionalism, and a focus on maintaining organizational integrity and staff satisfaction; * Prepare, analyze, and distribute bi-weekly payroll reports for HR and Fiscal teams, audits, and year-end processes, providing actionable insights for leadership; * Support department with annual W-2 process; * Calculate partial payments for new hires and terminated employees, maintaining accurate records and providing strategic reporting to management; * Collaborate cross-functionally to address and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures; * Manage payroll correspondence and department documentation, implementing organizational best practices for filing, archiving, and record-keeping; * Deliver payroll presentations during New Hire Orientation, providing guidance on policies, processes, and compliance; * Lead special projects assigned by the Payroll Manager, including process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-departmental initiatives; * Assist the Payroll department with day-to-day office needs; * Prepare and review payroll-related invoices, working closely with HR and Fiscal teams to resolve complex payment or reporting questions; and * Perform additional strategic and operational payroll tasks as needed. Qualifications: The selected candidate will have an Associate's degree in relevant field with at least 1-2 years of experience working in an office environment (HR, payroll, etc.) required. Non-profit experience a plus. Experience working with Paycom software preferred. Proficiency with MS Office programs and intermediate skill required in Excel. Candidate must be detail oriented and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. The candidate will be professional and personable yet have the ability to exercise sound judgment when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters. CAMBA’s Atlantic House Men’s Shelter located in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn serves 200 single men at any given time. The majority of these clients are dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance abuse. Job Description: Under the direction of the Data Engineering Specialist, the Data Analyst/Data Project Manager will support the agency’s partner management system, Public Health Partners Connect (PHPC), a Salesforce application which stores the agency’s community outreach and engagement data as well as select program administration and measurement data. As an analyst, this role will provide direct, hands-on support to maintain and improve existing data integrations with PHPC. They will produce analyses and visualizations of programmatic data and transactional metadata that will help the agency better understand its public health initiatives and improve efficiency and functionality. Position Summary: We seek an experienced Social Care Navigator to connect vulnerable Medicaid populations living in New York City to needed community-based social supports using an online referral technology platform to track and “close the loop” on referrals. The Social Care Navigator will be responsible for engaging Medicaid members to assess their health-related social needs, confirming eligibility for SCN services and facilitating navigation to needed social supports (prioritizing food, housing and transportation services); all while ensuring access to effective, culturally and linguistically tailored community resources. The Social Care Navigator works independently, but under the supervision of the Social Care Navigator Supervisor. The Navigator will also work closely with SCN clients, community-based partners, other members of the WholeYouNYC and Healthcare-Community Partnerships teams to navigate clients to care, share experiences / best practices and troubleshoot issues. The community-based arm of the study will provide culturally relevant nutrition and physical activity and Health Coach support for pregnant and postpartum patients to improve maternal healthy weight in pregnancy and postpartum to prevent adverse maternal infant health outcomes. Summary of Position: PHS is seeking a health coach to fulfill the following duties: • Provide health education and home visiting services to pregnant participants throughout pregnancy and through 12- months postpartum., • Facilitate curriculum-based group health education workshops and support enrolled participants in the CHIME study with maternal & child health resources in their community., • Responsible for working with participants on their nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle goal setting, as well as a detailed social needs screening, assessment, and referral., • Meet with participants on a weekly basis (at their home, in the office, or in the community) and keep detailed notes on their progress and activities, providing in-person support, text-message resources, and referrals to community services., • Manage caseload of up to 30 participants at a time and meet all stated program goals., • Follow guidelines from the Health Coach Manual on proper and in-depth case note documentation and tracking participant enrollment and progress in the study., • Regularly collaborates with program manager, study primary investigators (PIs), research coordinators, other team members, and nutrition/physical activity consultants to troubleshoot adverse events that may arise or discuss participants. Job Description THE ORGANIZATION The Center for Justice Innovation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community safety and racial justice. Since 1996, we’ve worked alongside communities, courts, and those most directly affected by the justice system to build stronger, healthier, and more equitable neighborhoods. With a team of over 900 staff and an annual budget of $130 million, the Center carries out its mission through three core strategies: • Operating Programs that pilot new ideas and address local challenges;, • Conducting original research to evaluate what works—and what doesn’t; and THE OPPORTUNITY The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Senior Counselor, Jail Diversion to lead a team of counselors who assess the clinical and services needs of defendants currently being held in pretrial detention. This will include coordinating closely with the Manhattan Felony Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) Court to identify and assess potential participants. The ATI Court, which is led by Administrative Judge Ellen Biben, seeks to forge a new response to individuals charged with felonies by linking them to community-based social services. The Court is the first of its kind, providing an innovative model for other jurisdictions seeking to develop and implement meaningful post-conviction sentencing options for individuals facing felony charges. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Senior Counselor, Jail Diversion will lead a team that conducts independent clinical assessments and drafts treatment recommendations for defendants being held in pretrial detention. The Senior Counselor will supervise a team of counselors and oversee the referral, assessment, and treatment planning process—ensuring adherence to a strict timeline and that the process is completed as quickly as possible. They will also regularly conduct assessments and prepare treatment plans, including for more complex and demanding cases. Additionally, in coordination with the Clinical Director, the Senior Counselor will design and refine workflows for the team, and oversee data entry. The goal is to provide information that will enable defense attorneys, prosecutors, and judges to resolve cases as quickly as possible, significantly reducing the time people spend in pretrial detention. An essential and dynamic feature of the Senior Counselor’s role will be close collaboration with key external stakeholders. They will work regularly with New York City’s public defense organizations and other defense attorneys, prosecutors from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor, staff at the Department of Correction and Correctional Health Services, the judge and court staff from New York County Supreme Court who oversee the Felony ATI Court, and an array of community-based alternative to incarceration and community-based providers. Court-based clinical work is an exciting, unique and demanding area of practice, and the Senior Counselor role involves navigating and constructively engaging with differing and, at times, competing stakeholder perspectives. Our programs are spread across 25 locations and include over 1200 units of supportive housing in three boroughs, the Howie the Harp Advocacy Center, Peer-driven Crisis Respite Center, Adult Home Initiative, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and the Intensive Mobile Team (IMT). Program/Department Description Community Access’s OMH licensed Intensive Crisis Residence (ICR) is inspired by the Soteria model and is designed as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization for people going through an acute psychiatric crisis and who would benefit from a respite period in a stabilizing, home-like environment with 24-hour peer support and treatment services. The Soteria ICR will work with guests for up to 28 days to help them develop awareness and skills that will allow them to return to the community with an increased ability to manage their mental health concerns. The ICR will follow a Soteria model which emphasizes shared running of a home-like environment, positive expectations of recovery, validation of subjective experiences, the concept of “being with” a person, providing 1:1 support, 24 hours a day, and self-determination. Services are completely voluntary, and guests are encouraged to maintain their daily responsibilities and activities in the community during their stay including work, school, family care, recreation, and wellness appointments. The program works with guests throughout their stay on discharge planning focused on safety and wellness, and provides post-discharge follow up health resource navigation support. Position Overview The Assistant Program Director is responsible for supporting the Program Director in the overall administration and the day-to-day operation of the ICR. The social worker will work with a group of 15-20 participants who have caused harm in their relationships providing individual and group counseling. The social worker will work collaboratively on the transformative initiatives team comprised of social workers, facilitators, and coordinators to provide a range of community-based therapeutic interventions engaging in individuals causing harm in their relationships. Prioritize infrastructure initiatives based on customer value, scalability, and ROI, ensuring the platform supports enterprise-grade performance, security, and cost efficiency., • Establish clear service standards for the AI/ML platform and consistently improve performance, stability, and scalability., • Build feedback loops with internal teams and measurably improve satisfaction by reducing friction and increasing self-serve capabilities., • 4+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of highly technical platforms, infrastructure, or developer-facing products., • Demonstrated experience partnering deeply with Engineering to ship scalable, reliable systems in production environments., • Strong understanding of AI/ML systems and workflows (e.g., model lifecycle, evaluation, deployment, observability), with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product direction., • Track record of driving roadmap clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces and delivering measurable outcomes., • Experience running continuous discovery with internal users and translating feedback into high-impact platform improvements., • Ability to define clear success metrics, service standards, and rollout strategies that drive adoption., • Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to influence senior technical stakeholders without formal authority., • Health, Dental, Vision benefits start on your first day at Spring.
