Maverick Power is seeking a dedicated Materials and Inventory Control Manager to oversee all aspects of logistics, materials management, materials handling, and inventory control in our McKinney location. The Material and Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to support production schedules and minimize costs. The role requires a strong focus on inventory accuracy, process optimization, leadership, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Materials Management: • Develop and implement strategies for the receipt, handling and management of raw materials, components, and supplies required for manufacturing operations., • Implement inventory control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records., • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to reconcile physical inventories with system records., • Work closely with procurement, operations, and production planning teams to ensure the timely availability of materials for production activities., • Monitor and analyze inventory movements, trends, and variances to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs., • Provide leadership and guidance to the materials and inventory control team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement., • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to materials management and inventory control., • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials management and inventory control., • Minimum of 7 years of experience in materials management and inventory control, • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail., • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization., • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment., • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems., • Ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment., • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred., • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices preferred., • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks., • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
