Summary \n\n\n\n\n\t • \n\tPlease note the hours for this role are 80 hours biweekly Monday thru Friday 11am - 730pm \n\t\n\t, • \n\t \n\t\n\t, • \n\tGENERAL SUMMARY\n\n\t\n\t\t, • \n\tESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tProvides services using imaging modalities including but not limited to conventional x-ray, Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Radiography (DR), Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, and Urodynamics.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tMaintains and applies knowledge of radiation protection standards; knowledge of the function of the major divisions of the skeletal system and major organs; and knowledge of the physical concept of energy and the property of X-rays and electric circuits to perform diagnostic procedures and to assist as a member of a medical team in radiologic examinations.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tProvides services within and inpatient, Operating Room (OR), Emergency Department (ED), and outpatient setting.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tEvaluates radiographs for technical quality.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tPerforms, assists, and accountable for various clinical laboratory procedures including but not limited to specimen collection, processing, storage, handling, and transporting of specimens.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tExercises professional judgment in the performance of radiographic procedures.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tProvides patient care essential to radiographic procedures.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tRecognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action.\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\tSupports successful onboarding, orientations, training of new Radiology modality team members.\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tPerforms all other duties as assigned. \n\t\t\n\t\n\t\n\t, • \n\tLICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS\n\n\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tRequired Licenses and/or Certifications\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tCurrent licensure as a Radiologic Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required at the time of hire.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tCardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training required at time of hire or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tPreferred Licenses and/or Certifications\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tNone preferred.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\n\t\n\t, • \n\tMINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n\n\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tRequired Education and Experience \n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tHigh school diploma or equivalent required at the time of hire.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tAt time of hire, a record of completion for all education, licenses, training and/or certifications is required.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tContinuous certification and/or maintenance of state licensures, certifications, training, educational and application requirements is required during employment.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tPreferred Education and Experience \n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tNone required.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tKnowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tHighly motivated, enthusiastic, and empathetic team player who takes initiative.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tExcellent time management skills, able to shift priorities and able to work independently and problem solve in a fast paced, fluid environment.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tPossesses strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills as well as, the ability interact with and build collegial relationships with diverse individuals.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t, • \n\t\t\tAnalytical skills necessary to determine best method of providing requested radiographs based on the individual.\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\n\t\n\t, • \n\tWORKING CONDITIONS\n\n\t\n\t\t, • \n\t\tRadiology/Imaging areas work environment with rare exposure to physical discomforts due to unpleasant odors from specimens and chemicals. Occasional exposure to infectious agents when handling specimens or hazardous materials but potential for personal harm or injury is reduced when proper safety and health precautions are followed. Regular exposure to radiation. Minimum chance of injury once established safety procedures are followed. Ability to stand for long periods of time wearing a lead apron. Ability to lift or turn disabled patients. Although radiation hazards exist in this occupation, they are minimized by the use of lead aprons, gloves, and other shielding devices, and by instruments monitoring exposure to radiation.
