The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial records, double-entry bookkeeping, and accounting principles. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.# Key Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records using double-entry bookkeeping principles., • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions., • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all records are consistent and error-free., • Prepare VAT returns and assist with year-end accounts., • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations., • Generate financial reports (e.g., profit & loss statements, balance sheets)., • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members to resolve queries., • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role., • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)., • Familiarity with VAT, payroll processing, and basic tax regulations., • Excellent numerical skills and high attention to detail., • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines., • Strong communication and organisational skills., • AAT/IAB qualification or Bachelors in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
