Central Recruitment is currently working with a London-based charity dedicated to preventing homelessness and supporting individuals in rebuilding their lives. Our client is currently recruiting for a TST Welcome Caseworker to work Pan London for a service that provides accommodation and a pathway to independence for former rough sleepers. • 37.5 hours per week, • Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM, • Temporary: approx. 2 months, • £17.14 per hour (£15.29 per hour, with £1.85 holiday pay) Please note: this is a hybrid working role which involves supporting clients across the community and occasionally working from home. This role also involves lone working. Travel expenses can be claimed. Key responsibilities: • Manage a caseload of 10–12 clients, delivering regular keywork sessions and SMART action plans to support progression, • Assess referrals and determine client eligibility and suitability, • Conduct strengths-based welcome interviews with prospective clients, • Co-produce support, safety, and move-on plans, • Assess risk and develop management strategies with clients and partner agencies, • Support clients to access and maximise welfare benefits, • Accompany clients to appointments, housing viewings, and other services where needed, • Identify and assess health needs and support access to appropriate services, • Undertake duty lead responsibilities, including managing enquiries and referrals, • Arrange and carry out case reviews, • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, • Deliver group activities and support clients into employment, education, or training What we’re looking for: • Experience supporting individuals with mental and physical health needs, substance misuse, and social, financial, and tenancy-related challenges, • Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management, • Strong understanding of client assessment, onboarding, and move-on planning, • Knowledge of common health issues and barriers faced by people experiencing homelessness, • Understanding of housing pathways, including supported housing, private rented, and social housing options, • Ability to use assessment and support tools, including motivational interviewing and trauma-informed approaches, • Experience supporting clients with move-in and resettlement to sustain tenancies, • Ability to motivate individuals towards independence and social inclusion, • Ability to effectively liaise with a range of service providers and agencies, • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage workload under pressure Further requirements: In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria: • Current valid right to work in the UK, • Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise), • A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60), • Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process How to apply: If you feel that you fully meet the above outlined criteria for this role and would like apply for this post, please forward your CV for consideration. *Please note the outlined experience is the 'minimum' first stage criteria, and we will therefore be unable to consider your application unless you are able to demonstrate a relevant work history in line with this position
