Day Supervisor – Electrical Bias (Building Services / Smart Building Fit-Out) London Full-Time | Temporary (with potential for permanency) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Day Supervisor (Electrical Bias) to support the fit-out, commissioning, and mobilisation of a new state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in London. This is initially a temporary position with strong potential to become permanent, offering a unique opportunity to be involved from early-stage fit-out through to full operational readiness and steady-state operations. You will play a key role in managing safe electrical isolations, LV switching, and Permit to Work (PTW) systems, while supporting contractors and engineering teams in a highly advanced, smart building environment. The Building This next-generation corporate headquarters features industry-leading smart building technologies, including: • Fully integrated BIM (Building Information Modelling) systems - Digital concierge and client service platforms - A fully connected, data-driven building environment - Designed for efficiency, resilience, sustainability, and user experience Key Responsibilities Supervisory & Operational Duties • Act as Day Supervisor, overseeing daily site operations and contractor activity - Perform safe LV electrical isolations and reinstatements to support fit-out works - Issue, manage, and close Permits to Work (PTW) in line with procedures - Coordinate with contractors, engineering teams, Permit Manager, and stakeholders - Support fit-out works including isolations, connections, access control, and supervision Mobilisation & Transition Support • Participate in Soft Landings, training, and system familiarisation - Support development of operational processes and building readiness - Witness and support commissioning activities - Assist with handover documentation and operational transition - Support engineering teams during low-activity project phases Operations & Maintenance • Use digital FM systems (CAFM / PDA / smart platforms) for job management - Raise, track, and close maintenance tasks accurately - Maintain permit logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation - Support fault diagnosis and root cause analysis reporting - Produce technical documentation for engineering leadership teams Continuous Improvement & Safety • Promote safe systems of work and high-quality standards - Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains - Support a strong health, safety, and compliance culture - Contribute to team performance and operational excellence Skills & Experience Essential – Technical Experience • Experience as a Building Services Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Background in critical environments (e.g. corporate HQ, banking, data centres), • Strong experience with:, • Permit to Work (PTW) systems - Electrical isolations and LV switching, • Good understanding of HVAC and building services systems - Experience with HV switching operations (11kV–33kV) Qualifications • HV switching qualification or proven HV operational experience (up to 33kV) - City & Guilds Electrical qualifications (or recognised apprenticeship) - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing - ACoP L8 Water Hygiene certification - IOSH qualification (or equivalent) - Willingness to become LV Authorised Person (LVAP) on site Technical Knowledge • BMS (Building Management Systems) and controls - HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs) - LTHW heating systems and boilers - Life safety systems (fire alarms, suppression, etc.) - LV distribution (400V systems) - UPS and 2N power architectures - STS / ATS systems and standby generators - Smart building systems, IoT, and integrated digital platforms - Energy management and optimisation principles Personal Attributes • Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn - Calm and effective under pressure - Strong communication and client-facing skills - Proactive, solutions-focused mindset - Comfortable working independently and in multidisciplinary teams - Flexible approach to working patterns, including occasional weekend support Core Competencies • Leads by example and maintains high standards - Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality - Excellent organisational and coordination skills - Confident user of digital FM / CAFM systems - Proven experience in critical environments and HV operations
