Principal Design Engineer (HV Cables) Murphy is recruiting for a Principal Design Engineer (HV Cables) to work with Murphy Applied Engineering at our Kentish Town Office. Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of engineering skills, adding value across all our sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation and design to deliver intelligent, sustainable and economical engineering solutions. A day in the life of a Murphy Principal Design Engineer • Developing HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required, • Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering and design, • Prepare plant and equipment technical specification, power cable route specifications, tender specifications, technical and progress reports, • Ensuring correct and accurate interface with other engineering functions involved in the projects, attend, and conduct internal and external meetings with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors, • Perform technical calculations including cable size, rating calculations, TMF and EMF calculations, Sheath induced voltage calculations and other, • Ensuring all project designs are compliant with CDM regulations, relevant legislation and company procedures, • Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department, • Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works. Senior Estimator required in Central London GVR Solutions are currently representing a leading and very well-established Contractor, based in Central London, who have entered the market for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The business are looking to recruit someone who is ambitious and wants to progress within the business. Depending of the level of experience of the successful candidate, the view would be to progress into a pre-construction management role overseeing the Estimating team. As a multifaceted contractor they work with in the Data Centre, Aviation and Commercial sectors primarily within London. Role – Senior Civil Project Engineer (Power & Energy) Location – UK Contract – 12-month renewable | Outside IR35 We are supporting a leading UK engineering contractor delivering major EPC projects across the power, utilities, and energy infrastructure sectors. They are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary energy projects on a 12-month contract basis. Purpose of the Role To create, lead and deliver an ambitious growth strategy for ISS’s projects business – maximising opportunities across existing clients while selectively expanding through frameworks and new client acquisition. You will own the front end of the projects growth engine, from market engagement to contract award. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute the projects business development strategy in line with ISS UK&I objectives, • Identify, qualify and secure project opportunities across key markets including commercial office, financial services, healthcare, government and production, • Build senior-level relationships with clients, consultants, partners and influencers, • Act as executive sponsor and primary client interface throughout the project acquisition phase, • Lead project-related bids, tenders and framework opportunities, shaping winning strategies and solutions, • Coordinate internal stakeholders across bids, pricing, surveying, pre-construction and project delivery, • Build and maintain a strong, visible pipeline of opportunities with clear reporting to senior leadership, • Ensure growth is aligned to delivery capability, capacity and risk appetite, • Represent ISS at industry events and forums, strengthening market presence and brand credibility, • Monitor market dynamics, client demand and competitor activity to inform strategy, • Develop integrated project solutions leveraging ISS capabilities in asset management, technical services, energy and sustainability About You • A senior projects professional with a strong track record in business development and project delivery, • Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role within construction or FM, • Proven success securing refurbishment and construction work via negotiated, competitive and direct award routes, • Strong understanding of the UK construction landscape, frameworks and procurement models, • Experience developing propositions, leading bids and shaping complex solutions, • Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts, • Confident operating at executive and board level with exceptional influencing skills, • Commercially astute, strategically minded and outcome-focused, • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration at pace Why Join ISS This is a leadership role with real scale, autonomy and influence. Role responsibilities for the Sales Representative • Manage your allocated region manage and grow sales with our existing customer base as well as bring on new customers, • Visiting clients at the office and site level, • Ensuring business continues to grow, • Maintaining a sense of enthusiasm and commitment, • Providing consistent, excellent customer service What will you sell and to whom? • You will be selling domestic and commercial sanitaryware, • Our Phlexicare range offers independent living products including level access and wetroom showering products., • Ceramic and porcelain tiles, Nicobond adhesives, grouting compounds and screeds, tiling systems, and wet rooms., • Decorating products including paint and decorating sundries, • Architectural ironmongery and general hardware, • Our customer base includes Building Contractors, Maintenance Companies, Disabled Adaptation specialists, Regional House Developers, Housing Associations, and Local Authorities.
