Scope and Purpose At KX Gym & Members Club, we are passionate about delivering exceptional food, beverage and service experiences for our members and guests. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to support the Restaurant Manager in leading the restaurant team and ensuring the highest standards of service and member experience are consistently delivered. The Restaurant Supervisor will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, leading the team on the floor, supporting training and development, and ensuring that KX standards are maintained throughout every service. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for the team during service, working closely with the Restaurant Manager, kitchen team and Head Chef to ensure a seamless and personalised experience for our members and guests. With the restaurant and club entering an exciting period of extensive refurbishment and extension, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new service standards, operational procedures and the future member experience at KX. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant across breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Take responsibility for the smooth running of the restaurant during assigned shifts, ensuring consistently high standards of service. Lead, motivate and support the restaurant team during service, acting as a positive role model at all times. Ensure that all members and guests receive a warm, professional and highly personalised experience. Develop strong relationships with members and understand their individual preferences and expectations. Ensure the team consistently delivers KX service standards, demonstrating attention to detail, discretion and genuine care. Support the Restaurant Manager with staff training, coaching and ongoing development of the team. Lead by example and provide guidance to team members on service procedures, product knowledge and guest interaction. Work closely with the kitchen team and Head Chef to ensure effective communication and a seamless service. Monitor the quality and presentation of food and beverages throughout service. Ensure that the restaurant is correctly prepared before each service and maintained to the required standards throughout. Monitor reservations, table allocation and service flow to ensure an efficient and well-organised operation. Deal with member and guest requests, feedback and complaints professionally and promptly, escalating to the Restaurant Manager when appropriate. Maintain strong communication with other KX departments to ensure a seamless experience for members. Support the Restaurant Manager in implementing and maintaining operational procedures and service standards. Ensure compliance with KX health, safety, hygiene and food-safety standards. Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily operational checks as required. Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or operational issues to the Restaurant Manager. Support the team in maintaining excellent knowledge of the restaurant's food, beverage and service offering. Identify opportunities to improve the member experience and contribute ideas to enhance service and operational efficiency. Support the Restaurant Manager during events, special occasions and other operational requirements. Assist with maintaining a positive, professional and respectful working environment within the team. Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the Restaurant Manager or management team. Qualifications Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Senior Waiter/Waitress, Team Leader or similar role within a high-quality restaurant or hospitality environment. Previous experience in a luxury, premium or members' club environment would be advantageous. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional member and guest experiences. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to service. Ability to remain calm, professional and organised in a busy service environment. Good knowledge of food and beverage service. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues across the wider business. Knowledge of restaurant software and POS systems would be advantageous. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
