Ribble Recruitment are supporting a reputable Charity in the Bolton area and we have an exciting opportunity to lead services that make a real difference to elderly people across the Bolton area. As Team Leader, you will oversee two key services: Supporting people to remain independent in their own homes Providing practical support through local authority contracts You will lead a small team, ensure high-quality, person-centred support, and help the services grow sustainably. This is a varied role combining people management, service coordination, and performance oversight. Key Responsibilities Leading the Service • Oversee day-to-day delivery of both services, • Ensure services run smoothly, safely, and meet customer needs, • Monitor performance and identify improvements, • Support the development and growth of the services Managing People • Lead, support, and motivate staff and volunteers, • Manage recruitment, induction, and ongoing development, • Handle day-to-day staffing issues with support from senior managers, • Ensure the team feels supported, engaged, and valued Ensuring Quality & Customer Experience • Maintain high standards of person-centred support, • Respond to feedback and resolve any concerns or complaints, • Support safeguarding and ensure appropriate action is taken Overseeing Performance & Contracts • Monitor service activity and ensure targets are met, • Support delivery of contracted work, • Keep accurate records and contribute to regular reporting Working Collaboratively • Work with colleagues across the organisation to promote services, • Build relationships with local partners and referrers, • Contribute to service development and new ideas Supporting Operations • Ensure effective use of systems and accurate record keeping, • Help coordinate rotas, workload, and service delivery, • Provide cover within the team when needed About You We’re looking for someone who is organised, people-focused, and confident managing a busy service. You will have: • Experience of supervising or managing a team, • Experience working in a customer-focused or care-related service, • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, • Confidence using IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office or similar), • Good communication skills, both written and verbal It would be great if you also have: • Experience of working in a community, health, or social care setting, • Experience of managing a service or coordinating workloads, • Understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable people, • Awareness of equality and diversity issues affecting older people Additional Requirements A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes If this is a role that you would be interested in, please click 'apply' or send your cv to the email below
