The Role We are looking for a Junior Industrial Designer to join our award-winning studio in London. This is a graduate-level entry position for someone at the beginning of their industrial design career. We are looking for a designer with strong fundamentals, curiosity and a practical mindset, rather than commercial experience. You will work closely with Senior Designers, Technologists and Engineers, contributing to live projects across a wide range of sectors. Your work will have real impact. This is a starting role, not a static one. We are committed to training, mentoring and developing the right person over time. You will be supported to build confidence across design thinking, CAD, prototyping, engineering detail and manufacturing understanding. As your skills and judgement grow, so will your responsibility. This will progress from supporting tasks, to owning defined parts of projects, and eventually leading workstreams. We hire for potential and mindset, then invest in helping people grow into excellent designers. About the Studio We are a small, dynamic studio based in London, known well within the industry for creating thoughtful, high-impact work. Much of what we do happens quietly, behind the scenes, on early-stage or sensitive products where trust, judgement and discretion matter. We are experts in harnessing new technologies and helping to create innovative, crafted products across a variety of sectors, including e-mobility, sustainable packaging technologies, femtech innovation and consumer electronics. We back ourselves to bring the skills needed to quickly service new opportunities, with our ability to take on and deliver in new, untapped areas being one of our biggest differentiators. We act as an in-house team for clients large and small, working directly with c-suite leaders to help provide the expertise and depth of resource needed to effectively launch products. We believe in show, don’t tell, and lead with a hands-on, prototype-first approach. We believe in the value of rigs and demonstrators, both for clients and their investors, backing this up with a vision created with renders and a compelling narrative. We don’t design for awards, but occasionally some of our work gains recognition, including a D&AD Wooden Pencil, Red Dot ‘Best of the Best’, and a 2025 Dezeen Awards shortlisting. Most of our work comes through recommendation and long-term client relationships rather than self-promotion. In 2026, we will begin sharing more of what we do and stepping more visibly into the spotlight. This role is an opportunity to join us at that moment, at the very start of your career. What you will be involved in • Bring yourself and your vision. We want to see your thoughts, reactions and ideas as much as want you to help others express theirs. We will help you hone your own critical thinking, and help you find the best ways to find your point of view when acing a client brief, • Supporting projects across the end-to-end design process, from early research and concept development through to prototyping and development, and ultimately manufacture, • Working closely with senior designers, engineers and technologists on live projects across a variety of sectors and categories. Contributing to, and occasionally supporting the facilitation of, ideation sessions and structured design thinking activities, • Creating sketches, CAD models and visualisations to help communicate ideas clearly, • Building and refining physical prototypes to explore form, function and interaction, • Assisting with material selection, manufacturing considerations and production feasibility, • Helping prepare presentations and documentation for internal reviews and client discussions, • Participating in research activities, including desktop research and field work, • We value curiosity and awareness of what is happening across design, technology and culture. You will be encouraged to keep an eye on emerging trends, materials and technologies, and to help share relevant insights with the team so they can be thoughtfully applied to live projects, • Helping to build and curate our enviable in-house CMF library. We want you to be curious and attentive to materials, building and curating our in-house CMF library, • Supporting the day-to-day running of the studio, including helping keep key materials, samples and tools organised and available Experience & Skills • Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Industrial Design, Product Design or a closely related discipline, • A portfolio demonstrating strong fundamentals in design thinking, form and problem-solving, • Working knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, with experience using Keyshot for visualisation, • Evidence of hands-on making or prototyping, whether through university projects, internships or personal work, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Curiosity about materials, manufacturing processes and how products are made, • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and respond positively to feedback, • Eligibility to work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship Benefits • Competitive salary, reviewed as responsibility and capability increase, • 28 days' holiday per year inclusive of public holidays (England and Wales), • Workplace pension, • Cycle to Work scheme Equal Opportunities We are an equal opportunities employer.
