Manage daily operations of Freight Operations for assigned accounts. Main Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage the import, export, billing and customs processes and procedures for assigned Freight Operations, • Be responsible for day-to-day decision-making and ensure escalations are addressed promptly., • Coordinate with agents, carriers, vendors, overseas offices, COE and customers to ensure smooth transactions., • Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained across all levels of operations., • Ensure that financial management, billing, and invoicing are carried out in a timely manner, • Support productivity enhancements within Freight Operations., • Actively engage in freight system digitalisation initiatives across the network., • Support corporate initiatives for Freight, • Support the selection of carriers and agents and negotiate rates and pricing., • Support commercial activities by providing freight solutions for target customers and assisting local sales efforts through joint customer calls, bids and proposal preparation., • Participate in project bids and execution, • Monitor KPIs and ensure timely generation of reports for management review, • Ensure company policies and procedures, confidentiality requirements, and legal and ethical guidelines, such as the Delegation of Authority, are clearly communicated and adhered to., • Coach and guide junior team members to ensure development and succession planning Observe and abide by the TSS-QIMM-01.6 Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities outlined in the QIM Manual. • Degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding or a related field., • Significant experience in freight forwarding operations, preferably in a management role, typically gained through 10+ years’ relevant freight forwarding or equivalent experience., • Established working relationships with customers, airlines, shipping lines and agents., • Strong knowledge of cargo service pricing and freight operations., • Ensure operations comply with applicable UK customs, trade compliance, health and safety, data protection, company policies, and ethical standards., • Working knowledge of financial reporting., • Good knowledge of freight management systems, including CargoWise, local customs and trade portals., • Strong teamwork skills., • Strong people management and development skills., • Strong service orientation.
