Our Central Production Unit on Holloway Road is the team that keeps every Ottolenghi venue running smoothly. It's a hands-on, people-first environment, and some roles may involve travel to our sites. As a Baker at Ottolenghi, you will: • Prepare, bake and finish a range of bakery products in line with Ottolenghi recipes, methods and quality standards., • Manage the different stages of production, including mixing, shaping, proving, baking, cooling and finishing., • Monitor baking times, temperatures and processes to achieve the best possible results., • Ensure products meet the required standards for quality, taste, texture, appearance and presentation., • Carry out regular checks on ingredients and finished products, identifying and addressing any issues promptly., • Work efficiently to meet daily production plans and deadlines while maintaining high standards., • Support and guide junior bakers and bakery assistants, sharing knowledge and helping them develop their skills., • Work collaboratively with the Bakery Supervisor and wider team to ensure the smooth running of the production area., • Help maintain appropriate stock levels of ingredients and supplies and communicate any requirements to the relevant team., • Work closely with the warehouse and wider CPU teams to ensure ingredients and materials are available when needed., • Follow stock rotation procedures and contribute to minimising food waste., • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times., • Ensure equipment is used correctly and report any faults or maintenance requirements promptly., • Support the wider bakery team during busy periods and contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment.
