We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Manager to lead our residential rehabilitation service. You will provide inspirational leadership to staff, ensure high-quality person-centred care, and promote recovery-focused outcomes. Desirable qualifications include professional registration (e.g., Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist). We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and experienced Home Manager to oversee a mental health rehabilitation service. The Manager will ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred, recovery-focused care, lead and support a multidisciplinary team, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This role combines leadership, clinical governance, staff wellbeing, and innovation, with an emphasis on enabling Residents to achieve independence, community integration, and meaningful recovery. · - Support and deputise for the Registered Manager in overall service leadership. · - Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to staff, fostering a culture of openness, respect, and accountability. · - Promote staff wellbeing, reflective practice, and resilience through supervision, debriefs, and structured support. · - Ensure workforce planning and retention strategies are in place. · - Lead on the delivery of person-centred, recovery-oriented support in line with care plans and Open Dialogue principles. · - Oversee incident reporting, investigations, audits, and learning reviews to ensure continuous improvement. · - Monitor and report on KPIs (e.g., recovery outcomes, reduced hospital readmissions, Resident satisfaction). · - Ensure alignment with NICE guidance, NHS frameworks, and CQC expectations. · - Act as the service’s Nominated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring a strong safeguarding culture. · - Lead risk assessments and management planning for individuals, including crisis management and suicide/self-harm risk protocols. · - Ensure staff are trained and confident in de-escalation, safeguarding, and emergency procedures. · - Embed Resident voice and co-production in all aspects of service design and delivery. · - Support peer-led initiatives, forums, and family/carer involvement. · - Promote recovery outcomes including education, employment, independent living, and social inclusion. · - Develop pathways into and out of the service, supporting step-down care and community reintegration. · - Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders (NHS, local authorities, voluntary sector, housing, employment services). · - Represent the service in local and regional forums, inspections, and community events. · - Lead recruitment, induction, training, and professional development of staff. · - Ensure compliance with mandatory training (safeguarding, mental health, health & safety, medication management). · - Promote reflective practice, supervision, and career development opportunities. · - Actively promote anti-discriminatory practice and culturally competent care. · - Ensure reasonable adjustments and equitable access to services for all individuals. · - Embed EDI principles across recruitment, care delivery, and community engagement. · - Contribute to budget management, resource allocation, and financial sustainability of the service. · - Monitor workforce spend, bed occupancy, and service performance. · - Ensure efficient use of digital systems for record-keeping and care planning. · - Support the implementation and evaluation of the Open Dialogue approach. · - Contribute to research projects, pilot initiatives, and outcome data collection. · - Drive innovation by adopting new practices and technologies that improve care delivery. · - Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent). · - Minimum 5 years’ supervisory or management experience in a residential mental health or social care setting. · - Eligible for CQC registration as a Manager. · - Demonstrated experience in risk management, safeguarding, and clinical governance. · - Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. · - Commitment to recovery-oriented and person-centred care. · - Professional qualification: Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist. · - Management qualifications (e.g., NVQ 4+, ILM, or equivalent). · - Experience in mental health rehabilitation using the Open Dialogue approach. · - Knowledge of outcome measurement tools, data reporting, and quality improvement frameworks. · - Compassionate and empathetic, with a strong commitment to mental health recovery. · - Skilled in balancing operational demands with high-quality, person-centred care. · - Resilient under pressure and able to make sound decisions in challenging situations. · - A collaborative leader who inspires and motivates staff. · - Committed to ongoing professional development and service innovation. · - Flexible working hours required, including evenings and weekends where necessary. · - Participation in the on-call rota. · - Based in Torquay, with some travel for meetings, training, and partnership work. *#care #mentalhealth #manager * Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From £43,000.00 per year Education:
