    Job Description Production & Warehouse Assistant Fixed Contract - 6 months September 2026 The business requires an extremely capable, conscientious and multitasking individual to join our team on a fixed contract for 6 months. Based at our design studio in Kennington, this role will report to our Head of buying, supporting our in house production, studio and shop house keeping, and will be required to visit our warehouse fortnightly. This is a very hands-on role, where you will assist in matters related to product preparation, product assembly and boxing PINCH products and shop presentation maintenance. You will need an ability to work actively and collaboratively in a business that moves quickly, and has high expectations of our designs, our products, our service, and our own ability to enjoy the process as we go along. Indicative areas of activity : ● Receive, quality check and record all goods arriving at the studio, including finished products and components. ● Ensure the studio, workshop and storage areas are well organised and maintained. ● Prepare goods for fulfilment and dispatch from the studio, including packing, crating and photographing where required. ● Support with PINCH in-house production and assembly. ● Quality check goods returning to the business and re-box where required. ● Visit our warehouse and suppliers to assist with quality checking and boxing products. ● Attend to shop maintenance, repairs and snags, regular paint and finish repair. ● Print assembly instructions and prepare ancillary items for orders. ● Support the team with shop changeovers, photoshoots and events. ● Provide cover for Office Manager tasks during absence. ● Potential visits to client’s homes to trouble shoot quality issues ● Additional tasks and deliverables as they arise, suited to the business needs, role and responsibility level. Key skills: ● Super organized with an ability to multi task and prioritise ● Practical thinker ● Self starter, taking on areas of responsibility, as well as taking direction from management ● Practical, motivated thinker, with a flexible, hungry approach ● Great eye for detail ● Experienced, safe and confident in a workshop environment ● Physically energetic and willing to get hands dirty with non glam tasks ● Clean and orderly working manner ● Apple Mac proficient ● Good verbal and written communication skills ● Full clean UK driver’s license Expected approach and attitude: ● An appreciation of quality and professionalism, and things done well ● Ability to prioritise and efficiently manage own time and workload ● Professional, enthusiastic attitude, both internally and externally ● Collaborative & supportive to full team (respond positively to team member requests) ● Take ownership and initiative where appropriate ● Upwards managing to line manager ● Engaging with responsibility of issuing high value goods ● Engaging with responsibility of looking after our customers ● Build strong communication via upwards management, and regular team meetings ● Share in team PINCH ambition to be a force for good where possible This is a Mon – Fri 9am – 6pm position based in our Kennington studio, with travel as per business needs. Hours will be expected to be kept flexible at key but rare moments in the calendar.

About You We are looking for an adaptable, skilled, and passionate Sous Chef to join our production kitchen team on a Temp-to-Perm basis. This model gives you the opportunity to hit the ground running, learn our group systems, and ensure mutual fit before transitioning into a permanent leadership role within our growing hospitality group. As our Temp-to-Perm Sous Chef, you will work alongside our Head Chef to drive prep, production, and service execution across our event portfolios and corporate catering channels. You’ll be hands-on in the kitchen, leading CDP and commis staff, upholding strict hygiene standards, and ensuring every dish meets our quality and sustainability benchmarks. Key Responsibilities Reports to: Head Chef Kitchen Leadership & Service • Hands-on Cooking & Prep: Oversee day-to-day prep lists, hot/cold line execution, and event packing for off-site catering operations., • Second-in-Command Support: Step up in the Head Chef’s absence to manage kitchen output, direct line staff, and keep shifts running smoothly., • Team Supervision: Guide and mentor Commis Chefs and CDPs, ensuring consistent plating, portion control, and speed without sacrificing quality. Operations & Standards • Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain top-tier hygiene (HACCP, COSHH, food safety regulations, allergen management) and lead deep-cleaning routines., • Waste & Sustainability Management: Support our group commitment to zero-waste production, seasonal ingredient rotation, and sustainable kitchen practices., • Inventory & Ordering: Assist in stock control, supplier receiving, shelf-life rotation, and minimizing yield loss. Temp-to-Perm Process 1. Initial Temp Period (1–3 Months): Paid hourly/weekly. You will embed with the team, demonstrate your technical skill, and evaluate the culture and workflow., 2. Evaluation & Review: Mid-point check-ins to align expectations, share feedback, and set goals., 3. Permanent Transition: Upon successful completion of the temporary phase, you will transition to a permanent salaried contract with expanded benefits and long-term group progression opportunities. What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Requirements • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef within high-volume events catering, boutique hospitality, or fast-paced fresh food operations., • Culinary Skill: Strong fundamental cooking techniques, understanding of British seasonal ingredients, and modern catering assembly., • Safety Certification: Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 certified (Level 3 preferred)., • Work Ethic: Calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and highly organized in a production-style kitchen environment., • Flexibility: Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends and early mornings depending on event bookings. Desirable Skills • Drivers license (a plus for event setup support)., • Experience with off-site event catering assembly and logistics.
