Solution Architect - Identity & Access Management (IAM) \n \n Hybrid Sheffield - 3 days per week onsite \n £575 - 600 per day Inside IR35 \n \n Initial contract until end of the year with view to extend long-term \n \n We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a major financial services transformation programme focused on modernising enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) capabilities. \n \n This is an opportunity to play a key technical leadership role in designing the next generation of identity services, helping shape secure, scalable and cloud-native solutions within a large, complex enterprise environment. \n \n Working closely with architects, engineering teams, security specialists and business stakeholders, you'll define solution architecture, establish technical standards and guide delivery across a large-scale IAM transformation programme. \n \n What You'll Be Doing \n\n • Define end-to-end solution architecture across business, application, data and infrastructure domains.\n, • Produce High Level Designs (HLDs), Low Level Designs (LLDs) and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).\n, • Translate business, security and regulatory requirements into secure technical solutions.\n, • Design modern IAM capabilities covering:\n, • Authentication and Authorisation\n, • Human, Agent and Workload Identity\n, • Identity Federation\n, • API Security\n, • Policy-as-Code\n, • Secrets Management and PKI\n, • Design cloud-native architectures using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.\n, • Define integration patterns between identity platforms, applications and infrastructure.\n, • Develop resilient, highly available and scalable architectures.\n, • Support Architecture Review Boards and technical governance.\n, • Review supplier designs and provide technical assurance across multiple workstreams.\n, • Work closely with Product Owners and engineering teams throughout delivery.\n, • Mentor engineers and promote architectural best practice.\n, • Evaluate new technologies and contribute to the long-term architecture roadmap.\n\n \n Essential Skills & Experience \n\n • Strong background in Enterprise Solution Architecture\n, • Extensive experience delivering Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions\n, • Authentication, Authorisation and Identity Federation (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, SCIM)\n, • Zero Trust Architecture\n, • Agent Identity and Workload Identity\n, • Cloud Architecture, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\n, • Kubernetes and Service Mesh\n, • API Architecture and API Security\n, • Event-Driven Architecture\n, • Policy-as-Code (OPA, Cedar or similar)\n, • PKI, Certificates and Secrets Management\n, • DevSecOps and CI/CD\n, • High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Resilience Design\n, • Security Architecture\n, • Architecture Governance and Design Reviews\n, • Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership experience\n\n \n If you're an experienced Solution Architect with a strong IAM background and enjoy designing secure, enterprise-scale cloud solutions, we'd love to speak with you. \n \n Cathcart Technology is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
