Join our family-owned business and take your career to new heights by helping us build Britain’s future heritage! \n\nThe Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager Role\n\n As a key member of our Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) department, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to reduce HS&W risks and foster positive working environments. Your primary goal will be to assist stakeholders in achieving the highest levels of HS&W performance. \n\n At Sir Robert McAlpine, we strive for industry-leading HS&W performance by focusing on five core areas: Competence, Process, Culture, Compliance, and Learning. We believe that collaboration with industry peers is essential to making our sector a better place. \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n • Identify and address competence issues for supported projects.\n, • Provide high-quality HS&W support and advice to assigned projects.\n, • Identify and escalate resource issues that may pose HS&W risks.\n, • Support the implementation of company-wide HS&W strategy objectives.\n, • Contribute to work-winning activities as needed.\n, • Influence and engage project personnel in HS&W initiatives.\n, • Promote a positive HS&W reporting culture.\n\n\nYour Profile\n\nEssential Qualifications\n\n, • Member of IOSH working towards Chartered Status.\n, • Excellent people leadership skills.\n, • Experience providing technical H&S support to complex construction or civil engineering projects within UK Tier 1 contractors.\n, • Competent in root cause analysis.\n, • Outstanding communication and influencing skills.\n, • Proven track record of leading HS&W improvements with successful outcomes.\n, • Proactive approach to personal learning and development.\n, • Strong technical background with experience across major project schemes.\n\n\nDesired Qualifications\n\n, • Chartered member of IOSH.\n, • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Health and Safety.\n, • Lifting experience.\n, • Mental Health First Aider certification.\n, • Experience in Senior Leadership Teams.\n, • Experience managing direct reports.\n, • Understanding of behavioral psychology and human factors.\n, • Performance-related progression opportunities.\n
