About the Role As a Support Worker within our Day Opportunities service, you'll work alongside adults with a range of disabilities, helping them build confidence, develop practical life skills, and achieve goals that matter to them. No two days are the same. One day you could be supporting someone with meal planning and cooking, the next you could be helping someone access public transport independently, taking a group to the gym, supporting a community project, encouraging social interaction, or helping someone prepare for employment. This is an active role where you'll spend as much time out in the community as you do within our service. Our focus is always on what people can do—not what they can't. What You'll Be Doing • Supporting individuals to develop independence and everyday living skills., • Helping people access the local community safely and confidently., • Encouraging healthy lifestyles through fitness, wellbeing, and physical activity., • Supporting cooking, budgeting, shopping, travel training, and personal development., • Building positive relationships with the people we support and their families., • Working alongside colleagues to create engaging and meaningful daily activities., • Promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and independence in everything you do., • Driving our participants to community activities and appointments using company vehicles (where applicable)., • Recording progress and celebrating achievements.
