SUPPLY CHAIN & STOCK CONTROL MANAGER\n\nJob Title: Supply Chain Manager\nDepartment: Operations\nReports To: Senior Leadership Team\nReportees: 2+ (with scope to grow)\nJob Type: Permanent\nLocation: Leeds with occasional potential travel overseas\n\nPackage\n\nSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)\nBased in Leeds\n25 days' holiday + 8 bank holidays\nProfit share bonus scheme\nDevelopment opportunitiesPosition Statement\n\nWe are seeking a commercially driven and operationally strong Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop our end-to-end supply chain function within a growing B2B business supplying into both contract & retail clients predominantly within the UK.\n\nThis is not a raw manufacturing environment. The business operates a finishing and assembly model, sourcing components and finished elements from a global supplier base, which are then assembled, finished, and supplied into contract, and readymade goods imported for supply into retailers.\n\nAs such, the role requires an individual experienced in managing component-based supply chains, coordinating multiple suppliers, and ensuring consistent availability, quality, and performance across assembled products.\n\nThe successful candidate will manage supplier relationships across Europe, China, Turkey, India and other emerging markets, ensuring continuity of supply, competitive purchasing, and consistent product standards.\n\nThe business has existing strong systems and processes in place, which significantly supports the role, and a team of knowledgeable colleagues who support each other.\n\nKey Objectives\n\nDeliver measurable cost savings across procurement and supply chain activities\nManage and improve to best-in-class supply chain management system\nStrengthen and diversify the global supplier base\nEnsure consistent product quality and supply reliability across assembled products\nImprove supplier performance through data-driven metrics and relationship management\nRole Responsibilities\n\nTake full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain, managing procurement of components, and to understand sub-assemblies and finished elements to support internal assembly and finishing operations\nDevelop and manage strategic supplier relationships across Europe, China, Turkey, India and other key sourcing regions\nNegotiate pricing, contracts and supply agreements to deliver cost savings while ensuring continuity and security of supply\nIdentify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers to support growth, reduce risk and improve supply chain flexibility\nOversee forecasting and demand planning to ensure alignment between supply and customer requirements, collaborating closely along with the Operations, Sales and finance departments\nManage lead times effectively across all suppliers, proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays or disruptions\nEnsure adequate stock levels are maintained across multiple SKUs and component lines to support uninterrupted assembly and fulfilment\nOversee the full purchasing cycle, including stock control and order management\nMonitor, expedite and manage orders to ensure on-time delivery against agreed schedules\nManage logistics, freight and import/export processes across international supply routes\nImplement and maintain quality control processes for incoming goods, ensuring consistency against product specifications\nMonitor and manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and service metrics\nWorking closely with the Goods-In function, managing workloads, space capacity and incoming goods\nDevelop and track KPIs to drive performance, identify improvements and support data-driven decision making\nLead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, reduce costs and enhance efficiency\nOversee inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels, storage and availability of components for assembly\nManage returns, back orders and supplier discrepancies in a timely and professional manner\nContribute to management discussions, providing insight and leadership on supply chain strategy and performance\nProvide reporting for daily, weekly, monthly key metrics and board reporting, and planning ahead to meet business objectives.\nPeople and HR skills an essential part of the role\nManaging perpetual and annual inventory counts\nWould be excellent to have H&S accreditations and experience (desirable but not essential)\nFuture potential of new product development and procurement role and/or management progressionRequirements\n\nProven experience in a component-based, assembly or distribution-led supply chain environment\nBackground in industries such as FMCG, retail supply, consumer goods or engineered products (non-raw manufacturing)\nStrong track record of managing international suppliers, particularly in Asia and Europe\nDemonstrated ability to manage multi-supplier, multi-component supply chains\nProven success delivering cost savings and operational improvements\nExperience in supplier negotiation, contract management and performance tracking\nExperience with supply chain systems and data analysis\nCIPS qualification (desirable but not essential)\nKey Competencies\n\nCommercial awareness and strong negotiation skills\nExcellent relationship-building and communication skills\nStrong coordination skills across complex, multi-supplier environments\nAnalytical and data-driven mindset\nAbility to operate in an agile manner for reactive & fast-paced solutions\nStrong organisational and problem-solving abilities\nWillingness to travel internationallyBenefits\n\n£40,000 -
