CNC Team Leader Barnsley Monday – Friday, days £37,000 Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a world-class manufacturing business for a CNC Team Leader to join their facility in Barnsley. This is a brilliant opportunity to lead from the front within a growing, globally recognised engineering environment and take ownership of a designated production area within the machining function. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll be responsible for driving output, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe and efficient operations. You’ll be leading a multi-skilled team working with CNC machines and robotics, ensuring KPIs are achieved while continuously improving processes through lean methodologies. Key Responsibilities of the CNC Team Leader include: • Leading and organising a multi-skilled CNC production team, • Running daily shift start-up meetings and structured communications, • Driving output KPIs and build plan delivery, • Managing compliance with Health & Safety, including risk and COSHH assessments, • Supporting line balance, minimising downtime and covering absence where required, • Driving continuous improvement using Kaizen, Lean and 5S principles, • Monitoring performance across quality, productivity, stock accuracy and WIP We’re looking for experienced Team Leaders with the below skills & experience: • Previous experience managing CNC machining environments, • Proven ability to lead and develop multi-skilled teams, • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, • Experience with capacity planning and workload scheduling, • Confident working to high commercial and quality standards, • Computer literate across Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems, • You’ll be technically credible, commercially aware and confident making decisions within a fast-paced manufacturing setting If you’re an experienced CNC Team Leader, looking for a supervisory opportunity with a leading manufacturer, contact Emma Bartholomew or Jonny Powell for further information.
