This is a full-time,permanent rolewithhybridworking,anda salary of £46,355 £50,466per annum. You willlead one of the UK's largest library management system partnerships, bringing together 14 library authorities that share a single catalogue, librarydatabaseand library management system. The role offers the chance to work strategically across multiple organisations, driving innovation, value for money and service improvement through effective partnership working. SELMS wasestablishedin 2006to help deliver savings through shared working. A key aim was to offer their customers an improved,widerand more consistent service,including the seamless use of all the library stock acrossparticipatingauthorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiasticSELMS Consortium Managerto jointheteam. Reporting to the Head of Libraries and Resident Contact,and underthe guidance of the SELMS Chair and Steering Board,you will lead the strategic,operationaland commercial management of the SELMS consortium. You willbe responsible formanaging contracts, supplier relationships, major projects, governancearrangementsand stakeholder engagement across 14 partner authorities. Working closely with senior library leaders,suppliersand consultants, you will ensure partnersremainfocused on agreed priorities, achieving effective outcomes that deliver value,innovationand service improvement. • Leading all consortium-wideprocurement,contract management activitiesandsupplier relationshipsManaging major projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the partnership, ensuring delivery against agreedobjectives,timescalesand budgets., • Acting as the principal point of contact for partner authorities,suppliersand consultants on partnership-wide matters., • Driving collaboration across diverse stakeholders, balancing competingdemandsandmaintainingfocus on strategic priorities., • Managing consortium finances, budgets, partnerrechargesand procurement activities to secure best value and performance., • Supporting andadvisingthe SELMS Steering Board and Development Group, enabling informed decision-making and delivery of agreed priorities., • Identifyingopportunities for technological advancement, serviceimprovementand future development across the partnership., • Identifyingopportunities for new partnerships and managing the onboarding process.
