Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t Home delivery drivers for a well known client of ours, based in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multi-national organization, with the potential for growth and opportunities. This role involves working with a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering are TV's, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods etc. Due to the weight of the products you are delivering you MUST be physically fit. The company offer the customer a 'room of choice' delivery, you will be fully trained on how to do this. Upon successful application, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple choice highway code/tacho exam. This will then be followed the next day with a subsequent induction day. The company operate 7 days a week, they will expect you to work 4 days in the week and a Saturday or Sunday each week. Please only apply if you can work at the weekends. Shift timings are 06.00 start, shifts last roughly 8-10 hours. Pay rate - £16.57 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay). There is an overtime rate of £22.19 which is applicable. After 12 weeks, you can be offered a contract directly with the company. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and maintaining productivity across the facility. The successful candidate will focus on both planned and reactive maintenance, using Shire Systems to log all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities. Familiarity with Siemens PLC systems is a distinct advantage. You will be responsible for machinery repairs, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring parts are well-stocked in the engineering stores. Key Responsibilities Perform reactive and planned maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure optimal machinery performance. Use Shire Systems to log and manage all PPM tasks. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, with an emphasis on Siemens PLC systems. Manage and prioritise workload effectively, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. Work collaboratively within a team, promoting a solutions-driven approach. Maintain adequate stock levels in the engineering stores and promptly order parts as needed. Always follow health and safety guidelines and company policies. Candidate Requirements Apprentice-trained in Maintenance Engineering with an electrical bias. Hold a 16th Edition qualification or higher in electrical installations (desirable but not essential). Experience with Siemens PLC systems (highly advantageous). Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and work independently. Strong problem-solving skills with a positive, "can-do" attitude. Team player committed to achieving results and supporting colleagues. Capable of seeing tasks through to completion.
