The Role As Nursery Manager, you’ll take the lead in establishing and running the nursery day-to-day. Confident, approachable, and able to lead by example. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A genuine passion for early years education and building something special from the ground up. We organise activities, programmes, and residential stays, that provide teenagers and young adults with opportunities to enjoy new experiences, develop skills, and connect with others who truly understand their experiences. Our presence is expanding – in 2024 alone, our social content was viewed over 5.5 million times, and we ’ re on a mission to extend our reach even further. We're seeking a Marketing and Comms Executive to build our profile as a recognised and trusted charity that people want to support, and that young people turn to as they navigate their cancer journey. We're preparing to launch a capital appeal to open the UK’s first dedicated retreat for teenagers and young adults diagnosed with cancer. Alongside this, we're broadening our local and national presence, developing our retail outlet, and building strong partnerships with major brands. Who you are You're a motivated marketeer with experience in the sector, or a relevant qualification, and you're ready to flourish in your career. You'll be a strong and versatile writer with a flair for producing clear, compelling copy across a variety of platforms, and a genuine enthusiasm for effective communication. Working closely with the Brand and Comms Manager, you'll take the lead on written outputs across the full marketing mix – from drafting and publishing our regular newsletter, supporting our capital appeal, to writing engaging campaign content that raises awareness locally and nationally. You'll also be instrumental in crafting communications that promote our retail outlet, strengthen partnerships with leading brands and raise awareness and support for young people living with and beyond cancer. Key responsibilities: • Support the planning and delivery of high-impact awareness and fundraising campaigns throughout the year, • Take the lead on championing Teens Unite in the local community, building awareness and driving support of Teens Unite's retail outlet through creative campaigns, • Support our capital appeal by helping to raise awareness and funds for the UK’ s first dedicated retreat for young people diagnosed with cancer, • Create engaging marketing materials for a range of audiences – from eye-catching event leaflets to information resources for young people diagnosed with cancer, • Use engaging copy to keep our website fresh and create engaging newsletters, • Edit and share our beneficiary stories that highlight the impact of our work and events Support PR and media outreach to spread our message locally and nationally, • Showcase Teens Unite on event days and maximise opportunities for further engagement, • Thank and celebrate our supporters through imaginative and heartfelt communications, • Be a guardian of the Teens Unite brand, ensuring a consistent and professional voice across all platforms, • Manage marketing resources, ensuring stock of leaflets, merchandise, and other materials is well maintained Person Specification Essential: • Previous experience in a marketing or communications role, or a marketing-related qualification, • Excellent copywriting and communication skills, • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to brand guidelines, • Confident in using all major social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), • An understanding of AI tools and how to use them Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, • Creative, proactive, and full of ideas to help take Teens Unite ’ s marketing to the next level, • A collaborative, positive, and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to take ownership of tasks, • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, driven to achieve results, and motivated to contribute ideas and a willingness to go above and beyond for the success of the team and charity as a whole, • Desirable Experience working within the charity sector Knowledge of Canva or other design platforms, • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, • Experience working with website CMS systems Reporting to: Brand & Communications Manager Location: Head Office - Broxbourne, Hertfordshire (a minimum of four days in the office). Contract: Permanent Hours: 35 hours, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. (Part time working, a minimum of 28 hours per week will be considered.)
