Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen within Leep Talent to join our ever-growing team of coaches. Your overall goal within the business will be coaching and development of apprentices through the ICT Apprenticeship Standards while tracking/supporting & driving their progression through the apprenticeship journey. You will work alongside the employer to develop the plans for how and when the on-programme and end-point assessments will be delivered and assess the apprentices progress towards the development of their knowledge, skills, and behaviours. You will be working alongside several other coaches on the same pathway who work to support & share best practices with each other & provide guidance where necessary. You will also work closely with the Head of Service Delivery, Internal Quality Assurance, Quality and Sales teams to establish effective ways of learning to improve learner satisfaction and success rates. The role will require you to adapt to different ways of working and establish individual learning needs and identify best practices and bring individualism and personality to a standardised course. This role will entail predominantly one to one coaching with apprentices. Leep Talent have harnessed the latest technologies to provide a remote learning product that means our learners can benefit from all our training and development programmes wherever they are. We are currently delivering a remote model of learning; however, the role can also involve field work visiting the apprentices on their employment sites and getting to know the environment they are working in. Key Responsibilities • Provide 1-to-1 coaching and mentoring to ICT apprentices throughout their programme, • Support learners in developing ICT troubleshooting and technical support skills, • Guide apprentices in diagnosing issues using appropriate tools and methodologies, • Help learners interpret technical documentation and system specifications, • Support apprentices in applying security policies and best practice, • Coach learners on communicating technical solutions to customers and stakeholders, • Encourage continuous professional development and technology awareness, • Support apprentices in testing, documenting and escalating ICT issues, • Work with employers and apprentices to plan projects aligned to the apprenticeship standard, • Monitor learner progress and set targets to support successful completion, • Support apprentices with portfolio development and End Point Assessment preparation, • Record learner activity and progress using OneFile e-portfolio, • Provide clear feedback and conduct formal progress reviews, • Embed Maths, English, Safeguarding, Prevent, Equality and Health & Safety into delivery, • Identify learning barriers and provide appropriate support interventions, • Communicate effectively with employers and internal teams regarding learner progress, • Contribute to continuous improvement of learning delivery and coaching practice Candidate Requirements • Experience working in an ICT or IT support environment, • Ability to coach, train or support learner development, • Strong communication and organisational skills, • Positive, motivated and learner-focused approach Essential Qualifications/Experience: Teaching Qualifications: • PGCE / CertEd / QTS or Level 4 Teaching qualification Or: • Level 3 Teaching qualification, • Level 3 Assessors qualification Maths & English Qualifications: • English Level 2 or above (Includes GCSE A*-C, GCSE 9-4, F/S Level 2/ Key Skills Level 2 or 3), • Maths Level 2 or above (Includes GCSE A*-C, GCSE 9-4, F/S Level 2/ Key Skills Level 2 or 3) Technical Competency: • Degree or higher, • 2 years industry experience and appropriate qualifications Or: • Level above what level they will be teaching in the relevant subject area, • Additional technical certificates to show competence of job role IAG: Level 3 IAG qualification or above Or working towards in the first 6 months Equal Opportunities Leep Talent is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to recruiting, appointing, and employing staff in accordance with all relevant legislation and best practice (Equalities Act 2010).
