Support Worker Prader-Willi Syndrome & Complex Needs - Southampton - 12-Month Maternity Cover Competitive hourly rate - Abbey House, Netley Abbey, Southampton (SO31) - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a rewarding and specialist role where your skills will make a genuine difference every day? Dolphin Homes is recruiting an experienced Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Abbey House, our 8-bed residential home in Netley Abbey, Southampton, supporting individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome, learning disabilities, and complex behavioural challenges. Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. This is a 12-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist experience in a supportive and well-established service. What Will You Be Doing? As a Support Worker at Abbey House in Southampton, you will draw on your existing care experience to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex and specialist needs. No two days are the same, and your expertise will be central to helping the people we support live fulfilling and independent lives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: • Providing personal care and supporting daily routines, • Supporting individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome and complex behavioural needs with sensitivity and consistency, • Assisting with dietary plans and closely managed nutritional requirements, • Teaching life skills to promote independence, • Supporting individuals within the local Southampton community, • Transporting and accompanying service users to appointments and activities, • Accompanying service users on activities and outings And the activities are genuinely something special: Theme parks, Swimming, Horse riding, Cinema, UK and abroad holidays, Arts and crafts, Concerts, Cycling, Baking and much more!
