Keep machine and equipment downtime to a minimum. Carry out proactive planned maintenance tasks Carry out reactive maintenance tasks Carry out machine/equipment improvements to improve safety and/or efficiency. Diagnose faults effectively and make good whenever possible. Implement minor electrical installation works (depending on qualifications) Carry out mechanical repair and/or replacement of equipment Ensure all tasks are risk assessed through site specific, job specific or dynamic risk assessments. Sourcing parts and materials from suppliers and arranging procurement Administering work permits and monitoring 3rd party contractors. Keeping accurate records Updating and maintaining the maintenance records Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times The role is for you if... 5+ years' experience in maintenance role Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems Able to demonstrate strong analytical thinking and have strong decision making skills Good literacy and numeracy skills, able to keep a track of and report on activity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Team player Adaptable and flexible Tidy worker with good organisational skills.
