Based within a busy manufacturing environment, you will support experienced Appointed Persons in the planning and documentation of lifting arrangements, with a clear and fully funded pathway to formal competence. If you have a strong safety mindset and the drive to develop in a safety-critical discipline, this is an opportunity worth pursuing. What You'll Be Doing • Supporting the preparation of lift plans, method statements and risk assessments in line with LOLER Regulation 8, • Interpreting engineering drawings to understand load characteristics, centres of gravity and slinging arrangements, • Specifying standard lifting accessories including chain slings, shackles and lifting beams, • Documenting and maintaining controlled lifting records in line with company procedures, • Working with production, engineering and H&S teams to gather information and communicate lifting requirements, • Contributing to near-miss reporting, lessons learned and standardisation of lifting solutions, • Engineering Degree, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, • A genuine commitment to safety and a professional approach in a regulated environment, • Willingness to undertake safety-critical formal qualifications, • 1–2 years' experience in manufacturing, construction or heavy industry (desirable) INDL
