We are looking for an experienced Technical Assessor to join our dynamic and fast paced team in Essington. The role is a full-time, permanent position paying up to £32,000. About the role: You will be providing technical expertise to ensure waste streams across the Augean business groups are dealt with in a compliant and commercially sound manner. What you'll be doing: • Identifying and assigning cost effective treatment/processing routes (both in house and external) to waste enquiries, • Technical assessment of waste enquiries to characterise and apply accurate classification and ensure waste meets current permits, compliance and legislation, • Scoping and assessment of materials for the carriage of waste on vehicles (Internal and External), • Providing technical advice, support and guidance to sites within the organisation and to external customers, • Providing advice and help with the production of RAMS for Industrial services activities across the business and on customer’s sites, • Working to current company policies, procedures and legislation, • Producing reports as and when required, • Maintaining continuous professional development and competence for the role What we are looking for: • HNC Chemistry (or suitable variant), • Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor, • IOSH Qualification, • Working knowledge of the waste management industry, • Good working knowledge of waste operations including Industrial Services, • Ability to understand and interpret analytical data and legislation, • Ability to communicate and coordinate with people at all levels of an organisation, • Experience of using waste software systems, • Ability to plan and achieve own workload.
