1st Line Support Technician (MSP)Chichester / Bognor Regis area (PO20)£24,000 - £30,000 + excellent training, certifications, hybrid working and genuine career progression Are you working within an MSP / IT support co. and now looking for the next step in your IT career? We’re working with a highly regarded and growing Managed Service Provider with an excellent reputation for customer service and a genuinely supportive team environment. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a 1st Line Support Technician to join their busy Service Desk team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already gained some good IT support experience, who enjoys helping people, wants exposure to a wide range of technologies and is keen to progress towards 2nd Line support and beyond. You’ll be joining a business that actively invests in training, development and certifications, with senior engineers who are happy to mentor and support your progression. What you’ll be doing: • Acting as the first point of contact for clients via phone, email and helpdesk system, • Troubleshooting and resolving 1st line technical issues remotely, • Supporting users with Windows, Microsoft 365, passwords, connectivity and general desktop support issues, • Logging and managing tickets through to resolution in line with SLAs, • Keeping clients updated with clear, friendly communication, • Preparing and configuring laptops, desktops and new user setups, • Escalating more complex issues to 2nd Line engineers whilst continuing to learn from the wider team What we are looking for: • Previous experience working within an MSP / IT Support Services environment is ESSENTIAL, • Strong customer service and communication skills, • Good understanding of Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365, • Experience working with ticketing/helpdesk systems, • A proactive attitude and genuine desire to learn and progress, • Full UK driving licence preferred What’s on offer: • £24,000 - £30,000 salary depending on experience, • Hybrid / flexible working after training, • 9-day working fortnight, • Paid training and IT certifications, • Clear progression pathway towards 2nd Line Support / Projects / Cyber Security Teams, • Friendly, collaborative team culture, • Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and clients, • Long-term career opportunities within a growing MSP This role would suit someone currently working in a 1 st Line Support / Helpdesk MSP Support role who is looking for more exposure, better training and a clear route to progress their technical career.
