Deputy Manager required for a Children's Home Medomsley near Consett, Co Durham, DH8 We are searching for a Deputy Manager for our Ofsted regulated newly renovated manor style 4 bed home set in lovely grounds in Medomsley near Consett ,County Durham, where high-quality care meets a calm, therapeutic environment. About The Role of Deputy Manager As our Deputy Manager, you’ll play a vital role in leading a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate team. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you’ll ensure the highest standards of care, support, and safeguarding — while helping your team grow, thrive, and deliver excellence every single day. Key Responsibilities of Deputy Manager In this exciting and varied role, you’ll: • ?? Lead and motivate a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to deliver exceptional person-centred care, • ?? Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets all regulatory and quality standards, • ?? Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes, • �? Promote a positive culture where children and young people feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their potential, • ??? Ensure compliance with organisational policies and children’s home regulations, • �? Develop and coach staff, promoting continuous learning and progression, • ?? Contribute to multi-disciplinary working, liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies You’re someone who leads by example — approachable, organised, and passionate about making a difference. Our Deputy Manager must have :- • Experience in a children’s residential setting (ideally Level 3 or above in Residential Childcare or equivalent), • Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties., • A commitment to achieving or holding Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, • Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory standards, and positive behaviour support, • Great communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills As salary of £15.70 - £16.80 per hour (£31,000-£33,500) depending on experience • ??
