Tasks • Ensure compliancy with and managing of the client's Electrical Safety Rules., • Safety coordination in electrical matters., • Manage and coordinate HV/MV/LV commissioning activities., • Coordinate with National Grid and attend commissioning panel meetings., • Act as senior authorized person., • Outage management and network control in collaboration with the Control Engineers., • Prepare and check high voltage switching schedules., • Update MV/HV/LV schematic diagrams., • Inspect work sites and perform site safety inspections and auditing for electrical matters., • Check method statements for electrical matters., • Implement and provide training programs for relevant staff according to the rules., • Mentor HV APs during field training. Deliverables • Input to the project commissioning management manual and related documents (including pre-commissioning and commissioning quality plans)., • Participation in different audits., • Reports from FAT & SAT on the different high voltage equipment’s., • Onsite check of switching programs., • Participation in the planning of resource and work activities., • Participation in authorizations and assessments of new candidates., • Deliver inputs to the design phase of the project on technical aspects. Decision Authority • Final say in relation to MV/HV switching and isolations., • Issue of the client's Electrical Safety Rules safety rules documents., • Organization and management of the SAP permit office, including all operational staff. Qualifications and Requirements • Several years of operation and commissioning experience within the field of high voltage 9electricity, offshore experience preferable., • Appropriate electrical qualification and background related to the authorization scope., • Minimum 3 year of working experience within onshore substations systems., • Complete and up to date GWO courses and HUET with CA-EBS if required by site (climbing gear person weight limit – 120kg/264lb).
