NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB -To play a senior role within the hotel commercial team to develop and drive revenue strategies across all revenue streams, optimising all available space through all distribution channels -Management of the Shuffleboard bookings, Meetings & Events operation, ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service -Work with GM/HQ to evolve and expand the events offering to both internal and external guests ensuring all efforts are on-brand and revenue driving -Be responsible for leading, developing and implementing a regular programme of creative, revenue-driving events and initiatives within the hostel -Plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives -Ensure all costs are controlled without compromising standards and service delivery -Take ownership of the events and initiatives to ensure that we create a truly unique Generator experience -Identify and work with local and international brands on event-led local marketing campaigns -Drive the private hire proposition and look to monetise social spaces within the property -Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed -Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events Naturally this is not intended as an exhaustive list of duties.
