Registered Care Home Manager Care home: Lakeview Care Home Contract type: Full Time, 40 hours per week. Lakeview was rated Good by the CQC in October 2025, giving you the opportunity to build on previous success and aim to deliver outstanding care for our residents! About Lakeview Located in Leigh, Lakeview has 30 bedrooms thoughtfully divided into three small, purpose-built units, each designed to provide highly personalised, nurse-led care for adults with complex needs. This structure allows the home to offer a calm, supportive environment where care is tailored to both clinical requirements and individual lifestyles. Firetree Unit is a female-only unit supporting adults with complex mental health needs, dementia, and physical disabilities. Care is delivered in a structured yet homely setting, with a strong emphasis on personalised routines, emotional wellbeing, and maintaining independence wherever possible. Bridgewater Unit is a male-only unit specialising in dementia care, including support for individuals who may experience behaviours of concern. Staff are trained in positive behaviour support approaches, focusing on dignity, engagement, and meaningful daily activity as cognitive needs progress. Pennington Unit, also male-only, supports adults with complex mental health needs and neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease. This unit provides specialist nursing care that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of long-term and progressive conditions, ensuring residents receive consistent, expert support in a stable environment. About the role As a Home Manager with Exemplar Health Care, you won’t just manage your home, you’ll be the heartbeat of everything that happens there. You’ll be given a great deal of autonomy and will lead by example, driving your team and pushing for continuous improvement daily. You’ll provide person-centred and quality driven care to ensure that you make every day better for the people who live and work in your home. This is both an inward and outward focused position, demanding attention to multiple factors, including but not limited to: • quality initiatives and improvement, • team leadership and management, • recruitment and colleague development, • referral management and occupancy, • data collection, analysis and interpretation, • financial management, • customer relationships and marketing to ensure business sustainability and success. About you Above all, you’re someone who identifies with our Exemplar Health Care values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork. You must also have a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN. As this is a leadership role, you should have a minimum of three years management experience, ideally in a complex care setting. You will have previous experience in achieving good or outstanding outcomes with the CQC, ensuring exceptional care for the individuals we support. You’re also someone with: • a thorough understanding of nursing care best practice, sector specific and employer legislation and governance frameworks, • great communication skills, able to build relationships with local commissioners and professionals, • the ability to inspire, lead and manage a team, • excellent time management skills, able to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines, • an excellent range of clinical, business, digital and operational skills.
