Job Details • To ensure that we source the right materials on time and in full to meet all customer orders which in turn ensures an OTIF of no less than 95%., • Negotiate contracts with raw material suppliers and customers for customer own materials., • To control manufacturing and delivery processes, by ensuring we have a two-week fixed production plan., • To plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met and minimum costs are achieved., • To use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery., • To work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance., • To maintain a stock inventory accuracy of no less than 95%., • To ensure that every OTIF failure is taken to root cause and corrective actions implemented to eliminate recurrence., • To manage and motivate your team with the use of personal development plans and quarterly performance appraisals., • To improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process., • To develop new and existing relationships with suppliers., • To manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain., • To consider the environmental impact of the supply chain to drive net zero., • To implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector., • To ensure that the ERP system delivers the maximum benefit to the business., • To manage the warehouse function and staff to effectively utilizes the space available in a just in time business. What will this role involve? • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals., • Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output., • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures., • Plan the use of human resources. Organize recruitment and placement of required staff.; Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules for yourself and your direct report. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance., • Coordinate monitor supply chain performance and implement improvements with the use of KPI’s and corrective action plans., • Ensure we have a two-week fixed production plan., • Capacity planning that informs the need for future investment and manpower requires., • Supply review meetings completed at the agreed frequency., • Drive a culture of Quality right first time every time, set high standards in relation to housekeeping with the use of 5’s standards and auditing., • Procurement and supply contract negotiations., • Logistics Management., • Communicate effectively with support services such as Engineering, IT, HR, Accounts and Finance., • Lead the weekly planning meeting., • Use visual display to communicate Operational performance with meaningful and up to date information., • Liaison with the Plant Manager and assist in the development of strategic plans for Supply chain activity., • Implement and manage the Supply chain strategy plans., • To ensure all compliance systems are robust and all activities are well documented to meet with any internal and external audit requirements., • To build a high performing and proactive team with a continuous improvement culture., • Coaching, mentoring, and developing the Supply chain team to complete their substantive roles with the full use of the ERP system., • To recruit and develop new staff for the department in line with the company procedures and standards., • To act as a technical expert for Supply chain, including Procurement, material supply management, production planning, capacity planning and logistics., • To set and communicate clear and well understood SMART objectives and team targets., • To monitor performance and act when necessary to improve performance levels., • Complete Quarterly 121’s and annual performance reviews with all direct reports., • Agree and document personal development plans with all direct reports annually., • To maintain regular dialog with your immediate manager to ensure all HR issues are dealt with expediently in line with company policies and procedures., • To regularly monitor expenditure and recommend solutions that provide the best value for money., • To ensure that all agreed spend is maintained to budget., • To monitor performance and trends., • To ensure that resource is allocated to execute tasks that are detailed in the business improvement and project plans., • To carry out and document feasibility studies for new initiatives, including a cost benefit analysis., • To ensure that all external contractors work in a safe manner and in accordance with health and safety requirements., • To work within the guidance of the AMS Health and safety policy and guidelines., • To ensure that 5’s standards are sustained to the highest possible standard., • Ensure that all direct report respect and adhere the 5’s standards., • To ensure appropriate risk assessments are completed, documented, and reviewed in line with HSE legislation., • To instil and maintain a strong health and safety culture amongst the team., • To be a member of the health and safety committee and keep your team members updated of key issues and suggest appropriate solutions., • To participate in corporate initiatives such as Team days., • Ensure that good communication channels exist between all departments., • Ensure that all relevant information and data is displayed and up to date in the communications hub. What we’re looking for: • Be Highly analytical and well organised., • Strong IT skills and the interest in / ability to learn new systems., • Ability to work under pressure., • Good communication skills with the ability to relay information at a level relevant to the audience., • Strong relationship builder., • 2 years operation experience in Supply chain management. Desirable • Experience in Oracle ERP system.
