With works now commencing, we are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer / 3D Modeller to play a pivotal role in the early stages of delivery. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically driven environment and wants to take ownership of 3D modelling and machine control across a major project. The Role • Produce and manage high quality 3D earthworks models for site operations, • Translate design information into accurate, machine ready data, • Lead on machine control implementation and optimisation across site, • Support site engineering activities including setting out and QA, • Collaborate closely with design and delivery teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency, • Provide hands on technical support for machine control systems, • Contribute to planning and sequencing of earthworks operations What We’re Looking For • Strong experience as a Site Engineer or 3D Modeler within earthworks and heavy civils, • Proficient in Trimble and LSS software, • Extensive experience with machine control systems, • Ideally a machine control specialist with practical, site based expertise, • Proven track record on large scale infrastructure or major civils projects, • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem solving mindset, • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced site environment Desirable Experience • Previous involvement in major UK infrastructure schemes, • Experience working for specialist subcontractors, • Understanding of digital engineering and modern construction workflows The Bigger Picture This is more than just a project role. Our client is a leading scaffolding contractor who mainly operate in the South East. Due to expansion plans, they require a Scaffolding Yard & Transport Manager. Duties and responsibilities • Under the direction of the Scaffolding Contracts Manager undertaking and managing two Yard Supervisors, supervising (5-yard staff) the following functions, and guiding (as necessary) new and other yard labourers who are assigned these activities:, • Stock (Haki System & scaffolding tubes, boards, fitting rotation., • Cleaning and oiling fittings., • Cleaning and repairing boards., • Cleaning scaffolding stock., • Repairing other stock and equipment., • Painting and re-painting stock in company branded colour as required., • Loading lorries throughout the day with stock to take to client sites and ensuring they are loaded and ready to go at the end of the day., • Ensuring the Scaffold yard is always tidy and well organised., • Working with the Scaffolding Contracts Manager to ensure drivers and their lorries are loaded and are able to leave the yard each morning as required., • Liaising with service & maintenance providers to undertake PMI’S, servicing, MOT’s and repairs as needed., • Carry out Tachograph analysis, driver management, driver card down load and analysis, Fuel card management and HSE compliance., • Undertaking booking repairs to the buildings and/or equipment at the yard., • Ensuring the Scaffold yard is unlocked in the morning and safely locked each evening., • Training new yard staff in basic yard management health and safety practices and providing knowledge of the scaffolding industry., • Where required carrying out random drugs and alcohol tests on Scaffolders., • Liaising with and maintaining a good working relationship with internal clients, including Site Support Managers, Scaffold Inspection Manager, Site Supervisors/Black Hats., • Where breaches of policy, process or health and safety occur, referring such to the HSEQ Manager to deal with, and supporting with relevant information when requested to do so. Experience, Skills and Qualifications: • COTS, • Scaffolding, • Yard Management, • FORS Practitioner (training can be provided), • Stock Control & Management, • OLAT • Significant yard experience, and knowledge of how to manage a productive and cost-efficient operation of both staff vehicles and equipment., • Significant experience in the construction industry working on large and complex projects and/or yard., • Strong knowledge and experience in the scaffolding industry., • Ability to inspire scaffolding yard team members to embrace company vision and growth plans, and modelling company values always., • An advocate for excellence in all aspects of health and safety constructions practices, and 'leading from the front’ with scaffolding practices, always wearing full PPE kits on sites (including helmets, Hi-Viz clothes, protective boots, gloves and glasses as required)., • Strong people supervision skills, ensuring yard operatives work productively on projects as directed by the Contracts Manager., • Strong computer skills, including Outlook 365, Word, Excel, stock systems., • Strong, transparent, and respectful written and verbal communication skills. We are currently seeking a Small Works Project Manager to work with our NHS Clients on facilities management projects in the South East (Kent and Essex). The position will be responsible for managing and successfully delivering all financial and contractual aspects of minor works/small works projects including client variations, small projects and lifecycle works to ensure they are delivered to a high standard on time and within budget. Rydon Maintenance successfully provides hard facilities management services (Hard FM) across England for a growing number of NHS Trusts. We look after more than 250 buildings on behalf of 20 NHS Trusts on a planned, responsive repairs and small works projects basis. We provide maintenance services to hospitals, ambulance trusts, primary care trusts as well as mental health trusts. Our small works team support the NHS with delivering a range of projects from minor adaptations, refurbishments through to repurposing of Trust space. Job Purpose An Small Works Projects Manager you will be responsible for leading a variety of negotiated works including refurbishments, maintenance, and small and minor works on the building fabric or re-modelling across our NHS contracts. This could include minor refurbishments, re-decoration, power installs, flooring refurbishments, LED lighting upgrades, roofing works, boiler updates. You will generally be managing a number of different projects at a time with works up to around 100k in value in total. Key responsibilities will include; Understanding the client's requirement and undertake a full quotation for proposed works. Carry out site walks to advise client on potential works needed, e.g. updating existing plant and general maintenance. Attend client meetings to discuss extra works and to provide updates on current works. Hold regular project meetings with suppliers/ sub- contractors to check progress against agreed plans on site.
