Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kingston Upon Thames for a Sustainability & Health and Safety Lead. The role involves managing and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, conducting health and safety training, and overseeing occupational health programs. The Sustainability & Health and Safety Lead will work closely with various departments to promote a safe and sustainable working environment. Qualifications • Health & Safety, Workplace Safety, and Safety Training skills, • Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health, • Strong understanding of sustainable practices and regulatory compliance, • Excellent communication and leadership skills, • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, • Relevant certifications are a must., • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field Senior Sustainability, Compliance & Sustainability Manager Location: Kingston Contract Type: Full-time Salary: £35-40k Reporting to Managing Director and CEO. Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays. Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive individual to lead our sustainability, compliance, and health & safety initiatives. This pivotal role will drive our environmental and ethical commitments, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety and responsibility across the business. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding our technicians and wider team, overseeing key certifications, and ensuring our operations align with best practices in ESG and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Sustainability & ESG Leadership • Develop and implement company-wide sustainability strategies and policies, • Lead ESG reporting, including data collection, analysis, and submission, • Manage submissions for sustainability-related awards and recognition programs, • Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact, including waste management and carbon reduction, • Lead the business through accreditation processes including B Corp certification, Avetta, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and other relevant frameworks, • Ensure ongoing compliance with environmental, ethical, and operational standards, • Maintain documentation and liaise with external auditors and certifying bodies, • Take full responsibility for health and safety across the business, • Review all jobs and activities involving risk, ensuring appropriate controls are in place, • Write and maintain comprehensive Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), • Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure safe working practices, • Provide guidance and leadership to technicians, ensuring alignment with sustainability and safety goals, • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical responsibility, • Proven experience in a senior sustainability, compliance, and health & safety role, • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, environmental reporting, and accreditation processes, • Demonstrated ability to lead health and safety programs, including RAMS development, • Experience managing ISO and B Corp certification processes, • Excellent communication and leadership skills, • Passion for sustainability and ethical business practices, • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills, • Experience in award submissions and industry recognition programs
