The School Food Review has identified three areas of action required to deliver meaningful change – equitable access, fairer funding and quality assurance. Work across these three areas is delivered through focused working groups, drawing on members of the coalition. This includes public campaigning, advocacy and policy development. The post will be hosted by Chefs in Schools; a charity that exists to improve children’s health and futures through better school food and meaningful food education. We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Medicine department. Our client's Critical Care department includes an Intensive Care (ICU) and a High Dependency (HDU). ICU has a total of 8 individual rooms with single beds and 2 large rooms with 2 beds each. All rooms in ICU are negative pressure rooms. HDU has 9 beds including 3 single rooms and two large 3 bedded areas. All beds in the Critical Care Complex are equipped with full monitoring facilities and a central monitoring station on each side. The Critical Care Complex admits close to 1000 patients per year. Median length of stay for the unit is 3.4(1.8-6.9) days. Bed occupancy is more than 90% for majority of time. Turnover of patients is really high hence the unit is a very busy. Of the all the referrals over 90% are from medical specialties. There is a weekly radiology meeting on Thursday morning. You will own our global Corporate IT estate - Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, telephony, identity and endpoints - and build and grow a team with strong engineering instincts. This is not a role for someone who has drifted from engineering into pure governance. We want someone with the authority to discuss strategy at a leadership meeting in the morning, and the technological credibility to help the team solve a problem with Intune in the afternoon. We have over 500 users, spread across the globe. Some are in offices, but hundreds are not. We're mostly on Dell and Windows today, but the Mac population is growing quickly. The Corporate IT team is currently six, split between the UK and South Africa. Plenty works well, but some things only work because somebody remembers to do something manually on a Tuesday. We need someone who instinctively knows which of those things to tackle first, and which are OK to continue living with.
