SEN Teaching Assistant Salary: £12.87-£14.03 per hourHours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm)Contract: Permanent, Term Time OnlyLocation: Wolverhampton Reed is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist education provision to recruit two dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for their growing school in Wolverhampton. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading provider of high-quality education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. The school supports pupils aged 5-19 with ASC and SEMH needs, offering a creative, personalised curriculum within a nurturing, modern learning environment. Following significant redevelopment of the school site and increased student numbers, they are now expanding their team. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. You will: • Build warm, supportive relationships to help pupils feel safe, confident, and ready to learn, • Support students with ASC/SEMH needs, both 1:1 and in small groups, • Assist with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated activities, • Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional regulation, • Contribute to a positive classroom environment and work collaboratively with teaching staff, • Occasionally support care needs and adopt tailored behaviour management strategies, • Work flexibly within a varied SEN setting, adapting to daily needs About You We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: • Experience working with SEN in any capacity, • GCSE English & Maths at Level 3 or above (essential), • A Level 2+ Teaching & Learning qualification (desirable), • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles, • A positive, patient, and child-centred approach, • Creativity and adaptability to meet individual pupil needs, • Ability to work 1:1 with students, • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable), • Willingness to drive school vehicles for off-site activities (desirable) Why Join? • Be part of a supportive, passionate team with strong values, • Work in a newly redeveloped specialist setting, • Stable, term-time-only working pattern, • Genuine opportunities for career progression within The Aurora Group Interested?
