The business operates across three core product divisions — value-added cooked poultry, frozen seafood, and prepared foods (including pizza and spring rolls) — serving food manufacturers, foodservice operators, and retail customers at scale. The steamed chicken category sits at the heart of their industrial and foodservice growth strategy, and this hire will be central to driving it forward. Why Join? • Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 base + bonus/benefits package, dependent on experience, • Work Life: Home-based with high autonomy to work remotely across the UK; occasional client and customer travel required, • Market Position: Established product portfolio with strong existing routes to market across the UK and Europe, • Exposure: Cross-functional involvement across NPD, supply chain, and technical teams, • Opportunity: A business investing in category growth, not a like-for-like replacement What You'll Be Doing • New Business Development: identifying and converting opportunities across food manufacturers (ready meals, sandwiches, pizza toppings, salads, meal kits, protein snacks) and foodservice operators (contract caterers, QSR, casual dining, wholesalers), • Account Management: growing existing accounts via range extensions, menu innovation, value-engineered specs, and multi-site rollouts, underpinned by joint business plans, • Category Insight: translating market, menu, and consumer trends into compelling product formats and value propositions (dices, strips, shredded, slices; chilled and frozen; flavoured; clean label), • Commercial Management: owning pricing, tenders, RFQs, and quotations; managing forecasting by SKU and collaborating with supply chain on capacity and service levels, • Cross-Functional Collaboration: briefing NPD, supporting technical reviews, and coordinating with marketing on trade events and collateral What We're Looking For • Proven food sales experience in cooked, ready-to-eat poultry or added-value protein — this is a mandatory requirement, • Strong network across UK food manufacturers, contract caterers, national wholesalers, or operator groups, • Technical fluency: comfortable with specs, yields, micro risks, allergens, HACCP, and BRCGS standards; able to host site visits and brief NPD effectively, • Commercial acumen: experienced in tenders, RFQs, pricing models, and P&L; skilled in building joint business plans, • CRM-disciplined with strong forecasting and reporting capability, • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK; willingness to travel regularly If you are a commercially sharp food sales professional with a strong poultry or added-value protein background, we would love to hear from you.
